I cannot speak too highly of the care I received at Spire South Bank before, during and after my recent Hernia operation. Every member of staff I met was friendly, helpful, efficient and professional. The building was clean and well cared for. As this was my first operation I have little experience of hospitals but would have no hesitation in recommending Spire South Bank to anyone. Particular thanks to my brilliant Consultant, Mr Steve Pandy, and his team who did such an amazing job and to everyone who looked after me so well on the day of the operation.

When i was admitted in a planned way for surgery I was very nervous but soon put at ease as best as i could be I was informed and showed to my bed and the after care was amazing for my short 3 day stay. I was keen to be discharged and staff helpped and supported with this as early as 10am in the morning. Staff where lovely, Polite, helpful, and understanding.

The care from the nurses that I received (in 2018) when having my breast cancer operation was excellent but I did feel that the ward I was on was under-staffed at night. One nurse was attending several rooms and was evidently rushed off her feet though that didn't impact upon her care and concern for me as a patient. I hope that, for the sake of the well-being on the nurses, this situation has been able to be remedied since. My experience overall then and in follow-up appointments with my breast surgeon was extremely good, though, as a private patient, I wasn't quite sure how/whether I was allowed to access aftercare for Breast Cancer that was provided through the NHS or by other, Charitable bodies (eg Breast Cancer Haven). Perhaps more information could be offered regarding this? (And maybe is, now?)
