All staff are so friendly and caring
The hospital team was great the clinical team brilliant letters and email s were sent promptly and for me being private helped with 0% financial service.
The sandwich for my evening meal was sadly poor and could be improved and the option for a second sandwich or a verity should be given
Overall very good
A Fabulous Hospital where staff really look after you and make you feel as ease. I have been to this hospital for a number of different things over the years and have always been highly satisfied.
Lovely hospital, nice staff m.
I'm very happy about care in this hospital
The staff were lovely and made me feel at ease from arriving at the hospital to leaving the next day.
My room was very clean and comfortable
Approximately 5 years ago I started to experience stiffness and pain in my big toe and ball of my right foot, it felt like I was walking with a stone in my shoe, if only that simple!! Due to the pain I decided that something needed to be done and had an operation at Roundhay Spire at that time. However, after about 18 months I knew the operation hadn't worked for me which as one can imagine is a massive disappointment. I am a very active 65 years old man and love running, biking and gym, not to mention my daily dogs walking. However, due to the pain this was all being taken away from me and having trained all my life and not being able to do this my mental health was in question as exercise was my fix to stressful days at work.
It was then whilst visiting Spire Methley about another matter I was chatting to another waiting patient and we started talking about our foot problems, she said to see Mr Jason Eyre who she is under and her operation really worked for her.
That was it for me, nothing to lose!! I saw Mr J Eyre at Spire Methley, Leeds and found him to be my type of man, straight talking and to the point, moreover, he liked the cutting edge technology and wasn’t afraid to put forward a thought-out pathway to resolve my foot problem. Post op he did all that was required and found that I had a 'Osteochondral Lesion' amongst other issues which he sorted in one operation, like I said, my type of man and a great professional surgeon.
Now I am back doing all the training I want, walking and running with my dogs is now a pleasure being free of pain, thank you to that lady patient, and an even bigger thank you to Mr Jason Eyre.
The nursing staff took my personal medication when I was admitted and then couldn’t find it the next day. The pain relief protocol was not written down when I left hospital and Because I was in such pain I only half remembered what to do. The physiotherapist was rude and positively unhelpful. It was a really awful experience and I recommend you go somewhere else.
Great hospital . Caring staff
