a very pleasant experience due to the staff.
thank you.
The post surgery daily wound packing sessions with the nurses was good but there was regular debate most days re whether my wound needed packing or not. Some patients might find this uncertainty unsettling but I understood the need for debate on it. It might be my notes could have been more clinically updated to prevent the need for regular/daily discussion on it.
The 5 star answers to the questions above are sufficient indication of my views.
Really high standard of care and cleanliness. The team were brilliant
I was very impressed by the standard of care provided by this hospital. Too many wonderful people to mention by name, I was admitted for surgery on Ward 1.
I was treated with dignity and respect, and always made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. I had a huge room that felt more like a hotel than a hospital.
The follow up was also brilliant - I received a few calls from the ward to check I was ok once I was discharged, as well.
Thank you to all involved, highly recommended
All the staff members were wonderful. I was looked after SO well by the nurses during my stay. Highly recommended.
The staff - from reception through to nurses and the anaesthetists - are friendly, reassuring and helpful in what can be a stressful time for patients.
Very clean and professional service
I attended this hospital as a carer and I was appalled to see some of the serious problems with this hospital including communication. I have now found out that the situation is far worse than first thought and I could not recommend this hospital to anyone in its current state or the surgeon seen in the general surgery/abdominal department. There seems to be something serious about the whole situation having seen such unkind disrespect for patient and carer. I am pleased that I do not have to use this hospital and no way could I recommend this hospital to anyone and the same applies to the general surgeon who was consulted.
Initial impressions was that this was a safe hospital where one could trust their systems.
There also seems to be a big problem with confidentiality and respect which was found to be with Dr and hospital.
It was felt after discussion that a review was necessary to save others from these serious unusual problems. It was felt that after discussion it would be unsafe to use this facility.
There are far better speciality hospitals that respect patients and know their subject.
My family and myself are now very cautious about trusting this type of hospital and know that their is better if you search and do not just go on reviews from others. After wasting funds it left us a little shocked that a private hospital is able to behave in this manner. If you have suffered as a result of Spire it is better to report relevent ongoing matters to relevent authorities but first seeking legal advice
