This was my very first visit to a hospital, ever, so I was a bit worried about the operation, a hernia repair. As it turned out the operation in my time lasted 30 seconds but in Prof. Sheen's time ,(ie real time), it was one hour. I don't think I could have been better looked after even I was the Queen. I am particularly impressed about the healing process, you can hardly notice the scars and that's just after 5 weeks! Thanks to all the staff at Spire Hospital and Prof Sheen.

The rooms are beautiful, I felt as though I was in a hotel. A porter took my bags and showed me to my room on arrival. Staff were friendly.
I had paid to stay a night after my surgery but left earlier due to claustrophobia. None of the rooms have windows which open. I was told the hospital was locked over night and I wasn’t allowed to exit and re enter the building. So I checked with my surgeon and went home.

I had the good fortune to have had a hand operation performed by Mr Zaf Naqui and subsequent physiotherapy from Sarah Keogh. I find it hard to imagine how I could have received better care anywhere .The result of the operation was all I could have expected and more. Mr Naqui is highly skilled,very pleasant and helpful. Miss Keogh is a most delightful young lady,very skilled,understanding ,efficient and a credit to the hospital,(as were all the staff I came into contact with). The hospital was modern, clean,comfortable,efficient with plenty of free parking. The private room I was in mirrored the rest of the facilities and the food was not at all bad!! A very happy patient. The staff were helpful at all times. They listened totally to my concerns. After my operation I was required to stay overnight, due to not passing water until late in the evening. On the next day they were in no rush to discharge me until I was ready to go.
All appointments were completed in a timely manner. My wife, who accompanied me was made very welcome.
The choice and quality of meals was excellent.

Had a full hip replacement at the spire during my stay which was 3 days all staff members were excellent and the after care Physio, Outpatients dept,Doctors was also very good,

I have just had a Dupuytrens operation to straighten my ring finger on the left hand, I was very nervous about the operation as I could do most things in my adapted ways.
The decision was made and the op went well, the scar is healing nicely just a little soreness. I did not realise how bad my hand had got until it is now normal again . Thank you Mr Naqui you have done an excellent job, I would definitely recommend you and most likely see you again if I need further surgery on other fingers. Thanks again
