All appointments were on time, staff all pleasant throughout my visits. The day of my operation was made so much better by the kindness of all the nursing staff, whom were all so kind. Day and night staff were all very pleasant and nothing was too much trouble.

Spire Hospital Leicester has an excellent reputation and I was very happy to have my surgical procedure undertaken there. The check-in process was efficient and all appointments were punctual. The nurses and administrative staff were very professional and I felt I was treated with dignity and compassion especially immediately upon my return from the operating theatre when you are not at your best. The room was very clean and well illuminated by bright sunshine, my only negative comment is I think it is in need of a refresh as it looks a bit tired and dated.

The Spire Hospital Leicester was more like a hotel. The private rooms were well equipped, even with a packet of ear plugs, not that one needed them as the rooms were quite and restful. The en-suite bathroom was very clean as was the rest of the bedroom. The staff were attentive and very helpful ensuring that I was well looked after. The whole process was efficient, not rushed and I was able to recover after surgery at my own pace and not feel that I was expected to leave until I was ready. Would recommend the hospital and it's staff. Thank you.

Yesterday I had a keyhole Gallbladder removal done by Professor LLoyd at Spire Leicester. From booking a consultation to operation I was seen and treated within a week. I cannot speak highly enough regarding my treatment and care. All of the staff I saw or dealt with were courteous, professional and kind and I felt very well looked after. I self funded for the operation as the NHS waiting list was quite long. my Gallbladder attacks were getting more frequent and prolonged. I have just retired and want to enjoy more travel my insurance would not cover me for my condition I preferred to have elective surgery sooner rather than later or in a strange country. Whilst not cheap I feel it was the best decision I made and the care and service I received justified a lot of the cost paid to get back to a normal life.

I visited the hospital late in 2016 to see a haematologist (Dr Mamta Garg) about an unknown blood issue I had after being referred by my local doctor. Obviously I was worried after being referred to the specialist and could only think negatively. On my first visit to Dr Garg, I explained everything I had gone through and why I was visiting her. During this she was extremely friendly, she wanted to listen and really made me feel like she wanted to help me. She asked further questions all about my symptoms, my history and my family's history, highlighting the detail she went into with me. She examined my body and explained everything she was examining, what she was looking for and telling me and my Mum her conclusion of each body part she examined. After this she began telling us her diagnosis, explaining what she believed it was, why she believed it was that and the exact process in complete detail that I would need to go through to confirm it was that. During this, she ruled out different conditions of concern out and explaining why she was ruling those out putting my mind at ease. I went through the rest of the process with her and she constantly wrote to me updating me on results from each test, experiencing the same level of service from her at each stage. After a short amount of time she confirmed that my condition was what she believed it was. She once again explained to me what this meant, the symptoms I needed to look out for, how this would affect me and how the process I would have to go through IF anything was to get worse. Not at any point did I feel like she was rushing the appointment and ready to see her next patient to get through everyone. She could relate to how I was feeling and really put my mind at ease and I felt like I had been listened too and that she really understood my problem. She answered all my questions without even asking any of them leaving me feel like I knew everything I needed to know with nothing else to worry about. Dr Garg even gave me her personal number and told me that if I had any concerns that I could text her and she would advise me. This made me feel really wanted and highlighted to me the depth she would go into for her patients. Within the past month I had some questions about some medication I had to take whilst abroad. I wasn't sure if I would be ok to take them after reading the leaflet so I messaged Dr Garg on Friday afternoon. Within the hour she had responded and asked me to get a blood test. I expressed further concern that the results wouldn't be back quick enough as I was going away on Wednesday and couldn't have a blood test until Monday, once again she told me not to worry and I trusted her. On Sunday morning at 8am I had a text from her asking me to remind her to text me her conclusion once I had the test done. On Monday I had my test done and on Tuesday she messaged me my results and told me everything is normal and proceed to take the tablets. This may not seem a lot but with the amount of patients she is probably dealing with, to find time to respond to my messages and to text me on her days off work shows me how dedicated and passionate Dr Garg is about helping her patients. Fortunately, this is the only time I have been referred to a specialist. However, since visiting this hospital I have spoken with close family and friends about my experience and they have been taken back by the service I received here from Dr Garg. My Mum went through this all with me to help take in everything I needed to know and she couldn't believe how lucky and safe I was to be seen to by Dr Garg. She constantly told me and my family how knowledgeable and helpful she was with statements such as "she is amazing, she is the best Doctor and Specialist I have ever seen by a long way". I really can't speak highly enough about my experience with Dr Garg, I would recommend her to anybody, the detail, friendliness, knowledge, passion and care she offers is incredible. On top of all of this I felt that everybody I dealt with around the hospital had a lot of time for you. The receptionists were extremely helpful, the waiting times were very short and everything you needed to know about where to go how to pay etc was explained very clearly and left me with no confusions.
