The treatment I have recieved so far is excellent. My scars are so neat and healing well. Mr Platt explained the procedure really well. Told me what can go wrong. (Which nothing has unto now) so you understand what the operation entails before you go ahead. The aftercare is also excellent from of course Mr Platt care and attention to the wonderful nurses especially Dawn and Karen. Any questionsyou may have or concerns they are on the end of the phone and will see you stright away. I would highly recommend Mr Platt if you are considering any work done. I would not hesitate to use him again if the need ever arose.

Overall the staff were helpful, polite and accommodating. Immediately after the operation the level of care was exemplary but there was some issues on the second night when clearly the specific caee had not been communicated to the switch in staff. This caused me some personal distress. On several occasions information was not shared as effectively as we would have liked. A Priority MRI scan was missed, which we had to pursue. Letters for appointments were not sent/arriving in sufficient time. On the day of my second scheduled appointment, which was subsequently postponed the communication between staff, myself and my family was lacking in all respects and caused great upset and distress. This matter has been investigated by Emma Peacock. A third date for the operation was initially 17 days which was only reduced due to my daughters intervention and determination. The hospital eventually did respond positively, thanks to Emma Peacocks support however I would not want this to happen to someone else at such a critical stage of their condition. As a family we feel that some systems with regards to administration require considerable attention to ensure a 5* service.

All the staff at Spire hospital were really helpful and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed for a safe and comfortable recovery following surgery. All the staff were attentive and I felt like I was kept informed at all stages of my hospital stay. I really liked the fact that the beds had a duvet, as it felt a lot more homely and comfortable. The food at Spire hospital was delicious. By far the best hospital food I have ever eaten. The menu was inviting and my breakfast was cooked fresh to order.

I am a UK national but I travelled from overseas for my treatment. There was some confusion about my time constraints and communication needs. This was despite these requirements being communicated several times. I can see that I am outside the norm for the administration staff but it was disappointing that despite my proactive communication there was confusion about appointment dates and times. It was all sorted in the end and once I was able to talk to the medical staff directly the service and understanding were excellent.
