This was my second total knee replacent, both procedures carried out at Spire Harpenden.
On both my stays the care I received was excellent! The staff were always on hand, I wanted for nothing. The accomodation was first class and the catering was exceptional!

I saw Mrs Akbar to discuss my MRI report and treatment options on 18.01.23. I was a bit afraid about the whole procedure that I will require and the risks. However, after meeting Mrs Akbar I feel assured and feel that I will be in safe hands. She immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed, giving me her full attention and time listening to all my concerns and problems, she also answered all my questions and asked me relevant questions. She has an empathetic, caring, pleasant and warm personality/demeanour. I am glad I found her to help me with my fibroid issue.

Been attending Spire hospital for 30 years and can totally recommend it as a caring, clean friendly environment.
Cant think of ways to improve it, only a better place to have a coffee or tea would be nice.

Ruth is extremely professional and highly experienced, she has given me so much amazing advice and support after being diagnosed with celiac last year, she's guided me on all the Gluten free diet and also guided me on how to keep healthy, I've learnt so much about food since I've known Ruth, I would of found this first year extremely challenging without Ruth's support, I can't thank her enough, I will continuing using Ruth's service as found it so supportive, food packaging out there is very confusing and Ruth was always be there to answer any questions I had, I definitely highly recommend Ruth. Thank you!!!

The staff were helpful, reassuring and informative. They put me at ease on the day of both operations, and explained the processes I needed to follow with aftercare.

Being a fairly frequent visitor to Spire I knew pretty much what to expect when I recently attended for a replacement hip procedure. However, the level of care and attention from my surgeon down to the porter who was on duty for my stay and who was of great practical assistance, the physios and other general attention exceeded all expectations, and I look forward to my next visit... :) Thank you very much Spire for looking after me so well.

Excellent care and attention throughout my open myomectomy in April 21. Huge thanks to Dr Borase and especially a young nurse called Cherise. She looked after me like family, I had full trust in her when in a vulnerable state. She is exactly what a nurse should be, Kind, caring compassionate and honest.
