Very caring staff made to feel very welcome nothing was too much trouble everything about my surgery was explained and made me feel at ease couldn’t have had any better care thank you
I could not fault the care I received at the Spire Lea Hospital and would recommend to anyone
Well what can I say from the moment I walked in I was met by professional staff who had smiles on their faces. Makes a difference really does.
Nothing is too much trouble from the hotel services team to the cleaners.
Can I mention Joy the poor nurse who had me as her patient 2 days in a row. She was so kind and professional and was very patient with me thank you. She treated me with respect and dignity.
All the nursing team were professional and kind but I am no good with names.
Theatre team made me feel at ease even though having major surgery is scary. Please pass on my thanks.
I am also going to thank the Physiotherapy team especially Chris to whom had to listen to me give any excuse not to get out of bed, but his kindness and patience coaxed me out of bed into the chair. No looking back then.
Food and service was second to none just a shame I didint have an appetite they were so kind.
Can I say for patient experience this hits A*.
Thank you.
A very smooth visit.
I had an excellent stay and hip operation during last month and would recommend the hospital and staff.
The after care and information given verbally and covered by literature was really helpful and factual,
The care from the staff from admission to release was exceptional with very professional service throughout the proceedure.
I would recommend the Hospital and staff for any operation or procedure required.
Thank you for making my hospital stay as welcoming and stress free as possible.
I would like to say thank you for making my stay in the Spire Cambridge Lea a pleasant experience.
The medical care and treatment was very good, but having been to the Spire in 2012 and 2013 for hip replacements (on NHS) I was very disappointed with the quality of the food. The standard has dropped considerably in the last eight years. This is a shame as it spoils the whole experience for the sake of a few pounds. Would not go there again or recommend to anyone.
Prior to admission trying to find out how much to pay, and when, was difficult and left very little time to arrange funds. Overall admin very poor.
My only quibble about my care is that I was given a drug I asked not to be given.
My other complaint is about the food, which was, apart from a cheese toastie I had after my surgery, largely inedible. Not having seen a vegetable, I asked, on my last day, where I could get a vegetable. I was recommended the fish. The fish and broccoli looked lovely. Unfortunately the fish had the consistency of coconut matting and the broccoli had the consistence of plastic. I couldn’t even make a dent in it with my knife and fork. If it had been raw, I would have eaten it: this was appalling. What a waste of lovely food.
My other meal was a huge plate of glutinous gnocchi, which stuck to the roof of the mouth, served with a tiny spoonful of sauce so stiff I had to cut it. I couldn’t swallow it.
Truly hideous food.
No suggestions.
