Well what a hospital! The standard of care was 5 star: being informed of the care offered, the risks of my procedure and the outcome expected were explained to me at my pace and in plain English. I had my own little “pod” which was great during Covid 19 times. My procedure was on time, all the staff made me feel so at ease my blood pressure started to drop to a normal reading, the doc actually doing most of the work told me everything that was going on whilst he was “fiddling around” in my head which again eased my concerns. Dr Joao Rosa (hope I have spelt this correctly) was quick to tell me what would happen after we met and when I should receive an update with recommendations for the next step. I felt in control of my own care and the staff listened to my questions, giving me choices at every step. The only criticism I could have is that the catering choice was awful. I was given a “cheese sandwich” for lunch but it needed great imagination to call it a cheese sandwich. It was literally two slices of fresh thin bread with a scraping of butter and a couple of slices of cheese. No tomato, no lettuce or cucumber! Not at all nutritional or tasty, I know budgets are tight but a little bit of salad inside would lessen the amount of cheese needed and so work out to be cheaper to provide and, oh so much more attractive and tasty! Grated cheese is a very economical way of using cheese inside a sandwich too,
Overall I was impressed by all the staff, the speed I was offered the appointment, and the complete care I was provided with. Keep up the good work everyone, you are amazing.
