I was admitted to Solihull hospital,on December 1st 2015.
I was told everything, that was to be done.
My operation was done the same day. I was taken back to the ward.
The next 7 days, was a struggle, for me.
But top marks to everybody, involved.
Highly recommend Solihull hospital.
My appointment was at the gynaecology clinic. The staff were great, I was treated with respect and kindness, they were all very profeessional.
I was treated at Solihull Hospital in September 2014, previous treatment was November 1952 !
I have probably been to most other hospitals in the West Midlands but managed to avoid the place of my birth!
My nurse treated me like a friend and kept a close eye on me, outstanding, thank you so much.
The care and attention that was provided for my recent hernia operation was first rate. There seems to be a bit of bad press about the NHS these days but that was not the case for my visit to Solihull hospital. from my arrival to deprture everything was spot on. All members of staff friendly and informative from the reception desk to the surgeon. I was informed and included in all that was going on around my operation. Every time a nurse or doctor arrived at my bedside i was greeted with a very pleasant manner. I also had my wrist band checked by all members of staff who spoke to me. From my visit i can't see how things could be improved
I was very impressed with the care given and standards maintained during my original operation for hallux valgus surgery in February 2013, but my recent visit to the day-care Centre for removal of a staple under general anaesthetic in January 2014 was also impressive. All of the staff were excellent, explaining procedures, offering friendly advice, and showing great care in a warm, but professional manner. I was made to feel that my well-being was very important to them during my operation and was asked if there was anything they could do to make me more comfortable. They immediately put me at ease and made the whole procedure a simple and effective procedure. The new beds were also greatly appreciated! Thank you to all the staff and doctors there.
I'd like to take the time to say thank you to my Maxifacial Dr at Solihull hospital Dr Amelia Reed for performing wonderful wisdom tooth extraction surgery on me this week. I had been briefed by many people I knew that this was probably going to prove painful and almost five days on I have felt hardly a thing. I'm told this is rare and as I doubt my pain threshold is this good I can only assume that this is due to the wonderful surgery skills. I'd like to literally give so much thanks and credit to Dr Reed and her assistant. I'm very grateful and I was very impressed with the surgery. When you do a splendid job you should be told about it, far too often in this country it is only when we have something to moan about that we make things known so I want to say thank you. Thanks to you this 28 year old female needed barely any time off work and felt the most minimal of pain. You are wizards in my eyes, you work some magic ladies. Thank you again.

Parking is expensive compared to Heartlands and Good Hope.
More parking spaces are also needed.
I would like to thank Dr Rex J Polson and his staff who gave me exceptional care when I experienced a "panic attack" immediately prior to having a gastroscopy yesterday 31st October 2013. Despite them having had a difficult day prior to my appointment, they accomodated my problem with compassion and patience.
A very good hospital.
