Review of Lower Limb Service (Leg Ulcer Clinic) (LUC) - Skimped Hill Health Centre, Bracknell
15th April 2024

Every aspect was top notch, care team excellent, downfall was the parking situation, whereby no spaces were available even after waiting for 20 minutes, apparently due to high influx of parkers not being users of the clinic facilities, but treating it as a free car park to attend other venues for short and long term stays. Very annoying indeed

Suggested improvements
Clamp down on above situation

This is the second time I had used the service , IPS consultant both time were looking for excuse to remove the service as soon as they filled up the form to show the number. First time the consultant released me because i was relased from MHICS so I wsa told IPS cannot help.Second time agent from firstappoinment was looking for excuses to releaseme . I dont think both would tell me they will release me if idid not do some thing. The secont time around the lady was no help at all other telling me what i can read. I dont think this service has any value other than making person feel miserable ..One I am told this service might not be for me and agent for look for excuse then say how can I help. No help provided . I think both time I met two people who very passive aggreesive with zero intent to help other than telling me they will do something yet would make an excuse

Suggested improvements
Provide help with get people on the help them refer to skill traning. Actually help with CV , support with templates and support with get in get in touch with correct agent and organization who support back to work. What I found is that agent keep tell you right the CV and send it to me. Yet no help provided. Write a cover letter which i know if i ask for help with cover letter or some sample i told that for me to find out. And then being told this is not the service for me. I found both the ladies not inclined to helping but looking for an excuse to release me and when I agreed with her I was told they have so many. Yet i was told few minutes back this service is not for me as i dont have mental health issue she think i should have. I have been out of work for 2 yrs and I tried to meet all the appointment. In the ended up feel humilated and being fooled by people who are not trained or motivated with feeling person more confused by the behavior

Exceptional Care and Compassion from [name removed] in the Wokingham Crisis Team The support and care I received from [name removed], a member of the Wokingham Crisis Team over last weekend have been truly exceptional and have made a profound impact on my well-being during a particularly challenging time. [name removed]'s approach was not only highly professional but also deeply compassionate and empathetic. She demonstrated a genuine concern for my mental health and well-being, and her actions went far beyond the scope of her duties. What stood out most about [name removed]'s interactions with me was her ability to positively redirect my focus. Rather than dwelling on the negative aspects of my situation, she would skillfully inquire about different subjects, gently guiding my attention towards more constructive and uplifting thoughts. [name removed]'s exceptional listening skills, coupled with her unwavering support, created an environment where I felt truly heard and understood. Her compassionate nature and the care she showed me were truly remarkable, and I am deeply grateful for the difference she has made in my life. Her commitment to providing the highest level of care and support is a testament to the positive impact that can be made by individuals who truly embody the values of their profession. [name removed] - An Unparalleled Beacon of Care and Empathy [name removed], a member of the Wokingham Crisis Team, is an unbelievable person whose generous approach, caring nature, and exceptional listening skills have left a profound impact on me. I was truly honored by his support and understanding during my recent crisis. [name removed]'s capacity to listen, empathize, and provide genuine care is truly remarkable. In a world where compassion is not always the norm, especially for those of us navigating mental health challenges, [name removed] stands out as a shining example of the difference a single individual can make. I firmly believe that anyone who has the privilege of crossing paths with [name removed] will be positively impacted by his exceptional personality. His level of care and empathy is not something that can be found in everyone, and it is so crucial for individuals with mental health difficulties to have access to this type of support. The difference [name removed]'s presence made in my life during a particularly difficult time cannot be overstated. While I may not have much to offer economically, I would be more than willing to contribute a monthly fee to the Wokingham Crisis Team, and even the Daily Services team, to help funding their service . The profound impact that this type of care and support can have on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues is immeasurable. It not only benefits the individual but also has a ripple effect on the wider community. I sincerely hope that the Wokingham mental health services can continue to attract and retain compassionate professionals like [name removed], as they are truly invaluable assets in the journey towards better mental health outcomes.
