The hospital is at last undergoing major rebuilding works, yet this does not affect the quality of care of moral of staff. One of the departments is the Larson unit which is a valuable asset to the people of Brighton and Hove and surrounding areas. From the moment you walk in everyone is polite friendly and welcoming. Mr Duncan one of the consultants is truly amazing. Thank you all for the amazing work you do

I don't have a sufficiently rich vocabulary to describe the quality of care I enjoyed when recently undergoing surgery. In all honesty I cannot summon up a single criticism; I am indebted to all the staff. Vincent Clark

I cannot fault the care and attention I received during my recent stay in RSCH. The nurses and doctors were kind, caring and attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The nurses were hard working and always took time to chat to me if I needed to. The only negative aspect of my stay was the food. I found the food to be barely warm, frequently congealed and at times inedible. I tried to cut a piece of chicken on my Roast chicken dinner and the entire plate of food moved as it was congealed together. I resorted to asking family to bring in meals. On speaking to other patients on the ward I discovered they had similar experiences and the topic seemed to have become a running joke. As nutrition is a very important factor in a patients recovery it would be good if the catering was looked into.
