I was unable to complete the fields in this section the first time I tried (using Windows and Firefox - now using Brave). The hospital was friendly and clean, and in my particular case, efficient (it is the only experience I have!). The reception staff both at Outpatient entry and in the relevant department were very friendly as was the nurse who weighed me and Mr Jain's secretary came to collect a DVD for uploading ahead of my appointment. I do not feel I can adequately comment on the hospital further as it was my first visit and only to Outpatients but on this experience alone I thought it very good. I think parking a little expensive (but that is the same everywhere).

Even though we were in a global pandemic the nursing staff were so friendly and helpful, always on hand when I needed support or just someone to talk to for reassurance.

Positive post, I had a sinus infection back in December 2020 from that I believe I had Awful parosmia. It’s been horrible and I had resigned to the fact that this is the way it will always be, but just like that last week I have been able to smell - shower gel, shampoo and it smells lovely not horrible smell my washing smells clean,I can smell real smoke, toothpaste is still a little off and so is meat but fish is back on the menu. I’m praying that this lasts I’ve persevered by smelling everything even when it smelt so so rotten and disgusting. I found that things tasted better then they smelt, so waiting for meals to cool down and didn’t take time to smell it. It’s not perfect but i feel like there is now hope I will completely recover from this. Found great support from abscent which was sign posted from my doctor. Basically smell everything even when it’s bad I think this is what has helped me.

The doctors and staff at the Lingen Davies Cancer unit are amongst the most dedicated, caring individuals at RSH. From my experience ever patient and family member is treated with the utmost respect and dignity.

#sayThankYou

A great family friend was one of the first coronavirus ICU patients at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. Six weeks after being admitted she left for home a few days ago. She said "The staff went above and beyond at every single opportunity. They were incredible and I want to say thank you very much to them all. I appreciate every bit of what they have done for me. They couldn't have been any better.”. As a friend of hers, so grateful to have her back, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who helped to care for her. THANK YOU.

I have no complaints about Mr Jain. There were times when I could have done with better care I know they are very busy but one time I was left with my drain leaking onto the bed for 12 hours . Another after I had come back to the ward from ICU I wasn't given my medication for a week until one of the nurses noticed because they didn't seem to have a record of it and my wife who is 73 had to make a 1 hour round trip journey to fetch it as it.
