Some of the boxes on the all highly commendable next page would have scored 5 with certain members of staff eve, Ruth, Florence, Angela HCA Pete HCA, Chole student and Simon St. nurse Manjit doctor – very patient and informative. One staff nurse had communication issues when I wanted to discuss things I feel she felt it a challenge which wasn’t meant to be, I felt uncomfortable with her care. Maybe structures half stress e.g. over tablets – well do you want them or not? In 42 years of nursing/more I would not address a patient in that way even with my background when you are a patient you need patience, explanation and feel vulnerable, I don’t want to name her but at a table top exercise hopefully she would know who she was. I don’t feel it’s just me as I listened to her with other patients. Bathroom – not great, difficult to stick to hip replacement rules and flush loo, crutches often fall down, toilet paper in the way. (Could be better!). Bins low to throw away used hand towels!
