I had been terrified of a colposcopy for months, not knowing what will happen during the procedure, as well as obviously of my health. I arrived to the Gynaecology Ward and was taken through to the room where the procedure was to take place. Brida and nurse Scorpio (sorry I missed your name) made me feel so safe, looked after me and made me laugh out loud through out the procedure. I cannot explain what a difference this makes to someone who is in my position. Each step was explained to me before and during the procedure although I was busy telling nurse Scorpio about my new boyfriend. I can’t say that I would like to have another procedure at any time soon, but if these two were there, I had to, I would, smiling (laughing actually). Happy birthday to us nurse Scorpio! ❤️❤️❤️

I am writing this review for my mother who is 86 yrs, called Cathy who was taken to ERIearly hours off Wednesday morning, after a fall at home, paramedics arrived,, Stuart and John, So kind and friendly, won my mum over in no time, complete professionals!! Mum was given 5 star treatment, all staff in A + E were fabulous! I picked mum up about 11am she was full off all the lovely staff she had met and how clean it was, she was so impressed with her whole experience, as we drove home, I was surprised how impressed and thankfully she was to the staff at ERI, after her fall we were all worried but from the start, paradics arrived and soon we all felt everything was going to be fine!!!! Thank You All!! Cathy sends her best regards xxxx

I have just had a total hip replacement, I am delighted with the result of the operation performed by Nicholas Clement and his team. Ward 220 staff were very attentive friendly and efficient. Even the food was good. Can’t thank everyone enough. Robert Reid

Hospital, Nursing Staff and Surgical Team were brilliant and very caring. They are extremely busy and over worked, underpaid for what they do. Thank you to the ambulance men. God bless you all!

I had to visit Minor Emergency at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary at about 5pm on Saturday 2nd June having badly damaged a finger. Can I record that the experience was absolutely first class. Reception at Accident and Emergency was superbly prepared for my arrival and later very helpful to my partner looking for information as to where I was. Outside A&E were two young employees (controlling the traffic at the ambulance entrance to A & E) who were extremely helpful to my partner during what was a long wait (no one's fault). In Minor Emergency - all staff (Particularly Nick(!), the practice nurse were efficient, sympathetic and knowledgeable. All round a first class service. Thank you to all concerned.

Nurse at ward 210 at Edinburgh Royal infirmary called Kirsten who had long brown hair was horrible. I was going through a distressing period in my life and Kirstens manner was not what a nurse’s should be. She was rude, never smiled and I felt like I was annoyed her just by being there. I also heard her saying she hated being there and wished she was on a plane. Not professional to allow patients to overhear that. Shame as the other staff were nice enough.
