In day surgery unit and kept overnight. My care was flawless. The medical and nursing staff were all superb - a special shout out to student nurse Ellie, who'll be a fantastic registered nurse, and Ali, her supervising nurse. But really, everyone was exceptional. I also want to praise the staff at the gynae outpatient clinic including the reception and admin staff. Overall they made things easier to cope with. First class.

First visit to Royal Infirmary and all staff were so helpful and caring from car park attendant on arrival and nursing specialist staff and staff in cafe. Calm but vibrant atmosphere in the hospital and very clean throughout. Guide at entrance helped us to locate the department. Thank you to everyone who made the visit much easier than it might have been. We feel so fortunate to have such an amazing hospital with such committed staff in our area.

I was attending A&E with my father 90 year old. After waiting for more than half an hour inside the ambulance we were wheeled into a trolley area which was hurriedly cleaned and a single sheet put on it. We were parked in a corridor. After about 6 hours I asked for someone to help me change my dad as he had wet himself. Placed in a curtained area briefly and I had to act as a nurse to clean and strip him and bedding was rolled to me. No Thankyou or any interest we were wheeled back. No water. Total carnage of people bleeding. Burned violent. Burns. Dementia and injuries. I got dad water and got then put in a curtain booth where a medical students first day on duty. Pathetic as my dad is deaf and the mask is useless. I protected my dad from police restraining violent drunk fools and then after yet another test was told he had covid and needed to go to isolation. He was given a pic line which fell out so he was bleeding and I had to ask a nurse for a plaster but she did not even clean it and plopped a cotton ball and a torn micropore strip. No care. He was out of it. Hectic gp told me to go home at quarter to 2 in the morning. It was no way a stressless situation. Had to leave him alone. The whole department is wrong. No organisation. No care. No way I caught covid. A CHEST INFECTION and asthma. And my dad is still in hospital. A terrible experience

I am writing to thank Kevin Campbell, Physicians Associate Emergency Medicine who looked after me last Sunday in A&E. After being taken directly to A&E by my fantastic brother, Kevin took oven the professional assessment and care I required. Kind, calm, considerate during my visit demonstrating absolute professionalism throughout. Arriving in a fairly confused state after suffering a TGA, Kevin could not have been more helpful in keeping me informed of what was happening, what assessments I needed and making sure I was neither worried or scared. By its very nature the A&E department presents various scenes of distress, anxiety and fear to those visiting and working in that environment. Bemused as I was, having someone like Kevin, and indeed all his fellow colleagues, to ensure the ordeal was never frightening or overwhelming was incredibly reassuring. I have no idea how he or his colleagues are able to cope with all that is thrown at them day in and day out but (certainly outwardly ) they do.My sincere thanks for how you looked after me and for all you do for us in our time of need. Apologies for calling you Jonathan and please say hello to your cat for me. Kindest Regards, Gavin

Despite how busy they were the staff have been phenomenal. Attentive, professional, you get the impression they could not do enough for you. Constant beacons of positivity regardless of the situation, and wonderful to talk to when you manage to steal one away for a moment. The only four star I provided was entirely because it felt like the entire hospital was in a rush, and I do not fault the staff in any way whatsoever! I'm sure if they could split themselves in half to get more work done they would!

As an in patient of the Nero sciences department, I was very happy with my care. Staff were very professional and friendly, always attentive despite being very busy. Every step of my care was explained and everything happened in a very timely and organised manner. I'm very happy with my care.

A dull, uninspiring hospital, where the patient is very much on a conveyor belt. They get the job done, but the layout, decor and views are so bad the architect and commissioning board should be embarrassed. Parking for staff shows contempt for those working at the sharp end. The central mall is tired, cold and unfriendly. Management need to step up to the plate and make this a nice place to go.

I had been terrified of a colposcopy for months, not knowing what will happen during the procedure, as well as obviously of my health. I arrived to the Gynaecology Ward and was taken through to the room where the procedure was to take place. Brida and nurse Scorpio (sorry I missed your name) made me feel so safe, looked after me and made me laugh out loud through out the procedure. I cannot explain what a difference this makes to someone who is in my position. Each step was explained to me before and during the procedure although I was busy telling nurse Scorpio about my new boyfriend. I can’t say that I would like to have another procedure at any time soon, but if these two were there, I had to, I would, smiling (laughing actually). Happy birthday to us nurse Scorpio! ❤️❤️❤️
