Thank you to all the amazing staff on the Orthopaedic ward in RHCH who cared for me during my total hip replacement on the 8th of February 2024. Must say the care before and after my surgery was at the highest standard and want to thank you all very much. Kind regards. Heather Ann Bray ex-RGN and District Nurse.

My mother who is 89 and with Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer’s was ignored in A&E for 9 hours and was eventually moved to a ward after @15 hours. During the time she suffered with hallucinations and delusions due to sundowning. I approached a duty doctor asking when was my mum going to be seen, only to informed not to disrespect her? My mum is now petrified to go anywhere near this hospital.

The staff on the elective surgery ward were second to none - nothing was too much trouble and they all, without exception, treated patients with dignity, respect and with humour and kindness. This despite being exceptionally busy most of the time - thank you all.

I visited the A and E department of Winchester Hospital this afternoon after seeing an audiologist at Ampliphon. She detected that a dome from my hearing aid was stuck in my ear and she couldn't remove it. I registered with the receptionist having explained my problem. She was very polite, friendly and efficient. I only had to wait a few minutes to have my blood pressure taken and details checked. Again only a few minutes and a nurse removed the dome, safely and I was able to leave. I was so impressed with everyone's friendly attitude and quick , efficient service. I would like to thank you so much.

My stay in Wainwright ward while undergoing Total Knee replacement was very satisfactory. The Nursing and Ancillary staff I found to be diligent , efficient and cheerful. Physio' were quick of the mark and considerate in their deliberations. If I have any slight complaint it would be about the time between ward discharge and the delivery of medication before release from hospital , in my case 5 hours. The nurse in charge of the waiting area is to be highly commended. To my regret I do not know her name , but her way of dealing with patients keen to get away was perfect. Other than this small episode my experience was better than I had expected
