The treatment I received at the Royal Free was great. I never had to wait too long in the clinic to be seen and all the staff were kind and courteous.

Everyone who we saw was nice, and helpful, but when we went for hearing test there were two staff members. A gentleman and a women, the gentlemen was very nice but the women looked at us in a weird, disrespectful way. Me and husband both felt comfortable. But everyone else we met were lovely.

Absolutely fine hospital. The advantage of being in a NHS site is that all the NHS resources are also on hand. For a nasolaryngopharyngoscopy there is no screen so you yourself cannot see what is going on (unlike the Wellington, for example).

Mr Hannan had a very warm and attentive manner. He listened carefully to my experience and then explained his thinking as he went through the examination. He used graphs to explain my condition and treatment. I was left feeling confident about his sincerity and competency.
My one complaint was about the preparation of my prescription for the outpatient pharmacy; as a private patient, I spent a long time while receptionists, who have no experience as pharmacists prepared the prescription and then they made an error on my bill.

I will never complaint about nursers working in this hospital.
They are really nice people and they know their work.
However I'm not satisfied with ENT team, until Mr Hannan take care of me. ( as I have already mentioned that in my previous review.)

At all times, the service from the second doctor we saw who ended up carrying out the procedure was absolutely great.
However, the first appointment we had involved a two hour wait in a tiny dark corridor after our given appointment time. This was particularly hard for our young child. There were no explanations given regarding the delays and the seemingly overstretched grumpy nurses showed no interest or particular care of anyone waiting. However, the second time we were sent to the children's outpatients ward instead. This still involved a long delay but they had good entertainment for the children. Once we swapped to the private health care for the procedure, the service from the hospital was exemplary, first class treatment. A real shame, if understandable, that it can't be that way for the hospital's non private health care.

I think the waiting list for repeat follow up treatment/examination can take far too long, and often as you are get getting near to the date of the appointment it gets moved back another month or two!
