Great care and attention provided at all times prior, during and post surgery
I have been to the RFH many times over the last few years, mainly due to cancer treatment and associated side effects. I have always been treated with excellent care, attention, professionalism and respect. And this was particularly so as my main cancer treatment was during Covid.
My recent treatment continued with this high standard of service "delivery".
Given the long standing (unnecessary in my view) pressures on the NHS to be able to be consistent in maintaining these high standards is exemplary.
Long may this continue and thanks to all staff involved.
Every staff member we encountered was kind and helpful at all times, the premises were relatively spacious and clean. All showing what great (yet underpaid) people work at The Royal Free Hospital.
Thank you to the Doctors, nurses and staff that looked after me. From consultation, operation and recovery, professional, caring and friendly.
I received great care
Whilst the decor is a little dated and the infrastructure needs some updating the nursing team - and that’s the bit that matters were outstanding!
Fantastic care - nothing was too much trouble.
All the staff on the ward were very helpful, caring sometimes going above and beyond for some very needy patients. They work long hours but nothing was ever too much.
If you are going Private through this Hospital i suggest you think very hard before doing so. The nurses are the worst , they have no compassion and are extremely rude . My daughter was in a lot of pain and rang the buzzer several times , it took 35 minutes for a nurse to attend and then then tells her ' we heard you the first time '. After she complained the next injection was a bit force full and painful .
I have also seen the responses from the hospital to al the other negative comments and to be honest they are poor and pathetic and almost repetitive . Royal Free , you guys should hang hour heads in shame , its just not good enough and it doesn't seem like you are going to improve any time soon , such a shame .
This country is broken and the money we pay for the service in the UK just doesn't measure up , we now live in a society in this country where nobody is listening and nobody cares .
My name is Mayank Gulati. I had a Whiple Surgery done by Dr Charles Imber on 07 September 2022. He had done very well. Really great experience with him. He is like a god to me who saved my life. Really helpful and excellent doctor.
I had surgery at the Royal Free as a private patient in summer 2022. Every step of the process was very efficiently managed from the pre-op prep work and registration to surgery and post-surgery recovery. The rooms on the private floor are very nice and the food is tasty and plentiful. Everyone I engaged with from the admin to the ward to the operating room staff (incl. a great anaesthetist) were very warm, caring, competent and efficient. It is now my preferred hospital for any treatments/ exams and I can highly recommend it.
