I have had appointments at the Royal Free, Hampstead in the past. It is impossible to get to this hospital by public transport from Enfield, my home. The journey to and from by mini cab costs £100. Meanwhile Chase Farm is two minutes from my home, and Barnet General, a single bus ride. So why is this not taken into account when arranging appointments?
I recently had an over night stay at the Royal Free and considered the ward to be lacking in cleanliness, and found the extended wait for my discharge papers to be totally unacceptable.
The Staff were pleasant and efficient.
