The only difference between Rosshall and the NHS is the shorter waiting list but you get longer appts on the NHS. 10-15 min for a pre surgery/first appointment costing £200‐350 is outrageous. Disappointing service at ophthalmology. No transparency on costs, ridiculously overcharged scans that are mandatory for the surgery that are free with competitors, and lack of diagnostic testing that affects surgery outcome. The consultant I saw had very little knowledge, was patronising and spoke over me the whole time, while also giving misinformation. Those who intend to pay out of pocket for extremely high costs for private healthcare or have insurance should be given better service. Much better service and testing within the NHS. Not even basic tea and coffee services. This is a shocking representation of private care.
