That is the only possible answer. Everyone that I encountered were very, very nice. 5 Star, in fact. Absolutely 1st class.

Suggested improvements
Can’t say there was anything that could have been done better.

Review of Neurology ITU/HDU
22nd September 2023

My experience as an inpatient in June was fantastic and I would give all Neurology Dr's and nurses 5 star's, however everytime I have tried to use your video call appointment this has not gone well. Today my consultant joined the call at 1130, my appointment time was 1040. The consultant joined the call for a few minutes and then left. He did try again but again for only a few minutes, I had called out to try and communicate with him but got no answer. I also tried to use the chat function before the call was ended and I was taken to this feed back screen. I had clearly left an alternative number to call and no call was received on this nor was there a follow up email. This is not the first time I have had issues with the video appointment system.

Suggested improvements
Use microsoft teams or another system with a proven record - or see patients in person. I'm not entirely convinced that a neurological examination, even a follow up should be done over a video link.

Review of Inpatient Discharge Lounge - QH
22nd September 2023

After leaving ward I was taken to discharge lounge to await my medication. Although the wait was fairly long I can not fault the wonderful staff in the discharge lounge. Was treated with warm welcome was offered tea/coffee straight away. Staff was very cheerful & friendly lovely bright area just what you need once left the ward. Well done all discharge lounge staff. Thank you.

Suggested improvements
Overall I had very good care on the ward sometimes a little noisey during the night.

All staff were very helpful and explained what they were doing. The eye consultant clearly explained what surgery I needed and why.

The consultant was extremely patronising and rude to my child. He explained that he wouldn’t necessarily need an operation but then agreed to do this without much care, consideration or offering any other solutions

Suggested improvements
Every patient matters, care compassion and politeness is important and should be shown to ever patient attending the hospital

My fathers appointment was over 1 1/2 hours late the boards in reception said no delays and we waited outside the consultants all that time not informed of anything which was very frustrating especially as my father suffers with Alzheimer’s

Suggested improvements
Keep us up to speed with timings!

No serious complaints with the organisation of the appointment

Suggested improvements
It seems ridiculous that in 2023, you still can’t access scans taken at other hospitals - I now need to wait 6 weeks for an MRI for no reason

Review of Queen’s - Accident & Emergency
21st September 2023

The whole time we was in there wad shambles.. 2 doctors on night shift no one being called.... morning staff were great.... nurses were rude and laughing at people... telling him to just discharge him self.... 19 hours sat with pain in back and chest ribs on rock hard chairs.... nurses kicked patients out onto hard chair only then I need to go back in after seeing doctor for more liquids ... minimum care given... the doctor I was seen by in the end was nice but u was given no answer and still have same pain on and off regularly but I refuse to sit for hours again to be seen.

Suggested improvements
Staff to treat patients with kindness ... kindness goes a long way
