I was in a+e for 9 hours last night from 10pm to 7am, I was in agony, they put a canula in however I did not receive any pain medicine or offered food and drink. I was in majors b light and a doctor criticised his head nurse for not knowing what she was doing of where her patients were, there was police officers looking after a gentlemen and they had to keep telling the nurses what treatment he was going to receive as they kept getting it wrong. I feel we was treated as cattle rather than humans. A tall nurse shouted ‘anyone not receiving treatment get out and go to the waiting room’ and then proceed to point at all individuals who needed to move, even though we was told to sit there. The doctors also told the patients there diagnosis in front of everyone and not in a private room or cubicle, I felt I couldn’t have a conversation with the doctor and breached my rights.

Suggested improvements
I understand it was busy but there was no care involved. I left feeling physically and emotionally worse then when I went in. I normally have great experience with the hospital but this has caused me great concern and feel they was unable to cope.
