Vulnerable, shielding until April. Had blood test requested by oncology 30/3/21 - for telephone consultation 6/4/21 @ 12.15 - informed they had no record of blood test results. Requested I came in for a repeat test which would be arranged for the next day @ 10am. Disappointed and still anxious awaiting consultation and results. Apparently a member of staff said this is a regular occurrence. Which for vulnerable and sick people is not acceptable owing the the current situation.
Suggested improvements
Please review the procedure for blood test's from the lab going to the consultant. Clearly identifying the patients name and NHS number.
