8th December 2022

I was in the waiting area in pain. To be fair, when I presented myself in pain, the staff were prompt getting pain relief. I was in A&E for 12 hours! Was discharged without finding out the route cause of the pain. No long term solution or pain relief offered. Was referred back to Oncology. Called Oncology, which gave me the number for Urology Emergency care.

Suggested improvements
I had to phone Urology Emergency care line of BHRUT. They re-examined the CT scan. THEY found out what was causing the pain and discomfort. From looking at the CT scan they saw that I have compacted constipation. THEY prescribed me some laxatives. I had to go to Queens hospital again to pick up the medication. Would have been nice not to have the extra journey! Especially at the time of Austerity, cost of petrol being high and effect to the environment doing extra journeys!
