When I arrived for the sigmonoscopy, I was told that I should have had the prep to clear my bowels but the consultant has said that they would give me an enema. The last time I attended I was given the prep before hand but when I arrived I was told I only needed an enema.

Clarify what is the correct bowel clearance process.
