I spent a total of 3 weeks in thenhospital, split between Intensive Care and Cheerful Sparrow wards. In both wards I felt that the staff were attentive, careful and well organised. They also went about their tasks cheerfully.

I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at the QEQM maternity ward. I was made to feel comfortable throughout my labour by Sue Barnes, Chantelle Castle & Chelsea Bayley. Also all the theatre staff were extremely caring and took the time to explain everything to me. Once on the ward Sue Barnes & Claire Graves were very patient taking the time to help us with all of our needs, especially as feeding was proving difficult! My only criticism is that the toilets are not particularly clean. There was rubbish on the floor which remained there throughout the 48 hours I was in for. However I would recommend the care at QEQM Maternity to anyone. Thank you

The care was superb. I am recovering well and quickly from an elective C-section. The staff were very friendly and professional. I felt really well cared for.

I went to this hospital after being diagnosed with bowel cancer, I was very happy with the care and treatment I received. . You hear many things from the media about the problems with the NHS, and I have to say that the pressure that the staff are under is noticeable, but it in no way affects the care that they give you. The doctor I saw was wonderful and put me at ease over my forthcoming operation, The nurses are simply the best, you hear our nurses being referred to as angels and I can fully see why. Many Thanks Mr J Thirst (A very happy patient)

my treatment and care were fantastic - my midwife - Emmaline Powell was fantastic - I didnt really know what to expect as I was hoping to have a water birth but wasnt able to in the end - though the actual process of giving birth has completely thrown me, I know my care was fantastic. thank you so much to Emmaline and also the Doctor who came to help at the last stages..

I was sent to QEQM by my community midwife with pre-eclampsia and I was admitted to the labour ward where midwife Kayleigh Mussett took over my care. She made me and my husband feel very comfortable and explained everything she was doing and why it was being done and we felt confident in the advice and care she was giving. All the staff that were present were kind, helpful and conscientious and reassured me through out the birth of my son which resulted in a C-section. After my time on the labour ward I was transferred to another ward (I can't remember the name of this ward but still within the maternity section) the staff here were also conscientious and very helpful with breastfeeding advice in particular Maria (Somaes?) and a student midwife. What was a very daunting experience for me and my husband was made easier by the kindness and empathy all the staff gave us.

I had to stay in for a week after my son was born due to my blood pressure. All the staff where very helpful. I was kept informed of what was happening. It was hard to see a doctor due to lots of emergency that came up but I was informed that this had happened which I really liked as it meant I knew what was happening rather then sitting around getting annoyed. This is my third son and I had all of them all here. I always find the staff helpful and understanding to different things that have come up with my health or my babies health.

I had an allergic reaction, was on my own initially, Reception desk wasn't manned just when I arrived so I went straight into the treatment area when the door opened and explained my problem which was understood immediately and dealt with. This had happened in another town several times before so I knew how it would develop very soon and what I needed which was provided immediately. Being on your own makes situations like this stressful but I immediately felt I was in good hands which made all the difference. The whole department was clearly extremely busy but I was given all the information I needed, in particular by Dr Renzo Mosquera who told me what to carry with me to prevent any future sudden episodes from escalating. Thank you so much to everyone.
