As a warfarin user and having been off this medication for 5 days before my procedure (triple hernia op) the consultant needed an update on my INR situation before proceeding. This should have been anticipated by the consultant's support team so there would be no delay after checking me in. An INR should have been within the department to ensure this happened. As it was the procedure did not go ahead until c12:30....five and half later than my check in. I hope this is accepted as a constructive suggestion as everything else went well. Thanks to Ms. Waters and her team.
