Dr Sebastian was very friendly and knowledgeable. He cared for my son very kindly and explained to me very well everything. Karen the nurse was friendly in some ways but could do with warming up a bit. She didn't introduce herself and I had to ask her name. I was concerned with the fact the observation machine was not cleaned before or after use and the saturation probe for the babies foot which was a fabric plaster was to be re used. I asked if the machine had been cleaned before she used it on my son which she said yes but I didn'tfeel confident. I also was concerned that the pen and clipboard I used was also not cleaned before being given to me. Lastly the waiting room is inadequate when you are trying to keep 2m distances as it was expected that 3 adults and 3 children would be in a very small seated area. I moved because I needed to breast feed and wanted some privacy away from the other 2 male parents and their boys but mainly to maintain the 2m distance apart during the covid time. There was no information of what to expect or how long and the staff on the ward minus Dr Sebastian did not communicate with us and tell us how long or what to expect and we're not friendly at all.
