The breast clinic is amazing!no other word can describe the care i received there.During this past summer i have undergone four general operations.Three of these i went in for day surgery and received exellent attention. However, the fourth operation(a mastectomy with reconstruction)required my staying in overnight. As the breast ward was fully occupied,i was put in the private wing,The Harbour. If i had been paying i would have been horrified. From first thing the following morning(feeling very dopey and suffering from a headache),i was made to feel extremely uncomfortable that i was taking up a bed space. The only consolation was a very caring nurse(Bosie )who personified the best of nursing.Eventually,as i was feeling so unwell, i was wheeled on the bed to a recovery area to await drugs been dispensed for home use/and collection. It was not the care i expected or had received the three previous ocasions.I certainly did not need this experience after a 4 1/2 hour operation the previous day.
