12 hour wait in A and E. lack of communication throughout.
Anyone asking for time updates (politely) were shot down and made to feel awful.
5 water jugs empty at 5pm and still empty at 5am. People resorting to filling their own jugs in the toilets.
Not one cleaner seen in the 12 hours. The floors were filthy and wet where drinks had been tipped.
Any contact with nurses / reception was hostile.
Actually overheard a phone conversation between the receptionist and another department regarding a patient, very unprofessional and heard the use of “for f#^k sake”!
Little understanding of people’s frustration having waited for lengthy periods in pain. All people wanted was communication.
Left without a proper diagnosis and called back the following day to query results only to be responded to by a rude receptionist again!
Why are these people in the jobs.

The ward was dominated by a loud bossy woman who had been in for weeks and knew everyone. She talked all day and the staff mollycoddled her to the detriment of other patients who were not given as much attention. She had them running around getting her things even if staff were dealing with someone else. Luckily I was only in a couple of nights. Dreadful experience.

I FEEL I HAVE TO WRITE A REVIEW AFTER MY SHOULDER REPLACEMENT OPERATION AT PRINCE CHARLES HOSPITAL- From my pre op clinics to my post operation care.my pre op communication between MR A T SHARMA & HIS SECRETARY LYNNE SMITH They were excellent! I had all the information I needed and they assured me at every step of the way.
THE WARD 3 STAFF ACROSS ALL SHIFTS. They were very professional - looking after me , explaining my medication. I Felt like. I was in a 4 Class Hotel.
I would also like to thank Mr Matthews who assisted my operation ( I did not get to meet you unfortunately) & all the Operating Theatre Teams - the anaesthetic doctor and theatre nurses who put me at ease and were there for me when I came out of the anaesthetic. My family & I would like to thank you all at Price Charles Hospital - we really appreciate what you have done.

Always had great treatment at PCH.
Recommend it to everyone....
