The nurses and doctors were very informative and sympathetic. The care my husband received in his time there was outstanding. I felt he was always treated with respect and dignity even when he could no longer respond.
The team were very friendly and compassionate and went out of their way to offer any help possible.
Even the cleaners were lovely, happy to talk to me and offer support.
A really positive experience at a very emotional time for myself and my husbands family.
A special mention to Sharon and Caitlyn (Ashford) who stood out with the care and emotional support they offered. They went above and beyond and are a credit to the hospice.
We did have quite a few problems with one of the volunteers who we felt wasn’t the right person to be around vulnerable people.
A complaint was put in and I hope they have been spoken to or had extra training. I think the communication between what’s happening with patients and the reception desk could be improved.
We were informed of all aspects of care in a kind caring professional way.
After being discharged from Oncology I was concerned & anxious about my care and what would happen in the future. Coming here to the hospice has give me the confidence and reassurance I will be looked after.
The care & kindness was wonderful. Thank you so much
Everything explained in full and with care.
I cannot fault the kindness & consideration which was shown to us whilst my husband was a patient in the Canterbury Hospital. He died with dignity, having been cared for in his last few days and I am ever grateful.
I found my visit peaceful & friendly, even a cup of tea while waiting for my appointment. What a luxury to speak with a medic who listened & had time for me. Thank you
Advice given was very clear & sensitively put.
Everything was far better than I could ever have imagined. All staff have been so caring with time to talk and have made me feel less stressed.
