Excellent experience
Mrs Rachael Bilton and Katie was brilliant put me at ease and was very caring and informative and took their time with me
Department was Fluoscopy Proctogram
I had a very good experience as a day patient and treated very well by all the staff.
I was delayed from leaving the ward for a few hours waiting for medication to be dispensed by pharmacy otherwise all excellent
Although I eventually had my surgery at The Fitzwilliam Hospital in Peterborough, my initial care at the City Hospital was excellent. Mr Carmichael performed an ankle fusion due to a severely arthritic ankle joint; which stopped me walking and limited all activities. Mr Carmichael explained, very clearly, what would happen every step of the way. Now, twelve months on from that surgery, I can walk again and without a limp or pain! I feel ten years younger and am so grateful for all the help I received from the team; both at the City Hospital and The Fitzwilliam Hospital.
Recent inpatient on the womens health ward. I felt i was treated with care and compassion at all times, i was very comfortable during my stay and was kept well informed regarding any procedures and my post op management. Special thanks to the anaesthetic team, my consultant and the nursing staff.
In the last year and a half , I have had to deal with 3 different department at the Peterborough city hospital, the orthopedic department, the women's health, the dermatology and had a medical procedure performed at the day treatment unit.
I can't fault any of these departments. From the reception desks, to the nurses, to the doctors and surgeons, I have only been dealing with friendly and understanding people , trying their best to make things happen in the best possible way. Thank you very much for trying to provide the best possible healthcare you can.
The staff were amazing, I was seen in the Women and Childrens outpatients, gynaecologist dept. The appointment system was not very good, I waited 3 months for a priority appointment and appointments were cancelled, notice of rebooked was short (or not received!).
I've already given a detailed account of Dr Sultan. What I would say regarding Peterborough City Hospital is, over the years I've had quite a few operations due to breast cancer. The support I was given by staff, nurses even cleaners (they would come in to clean my room and always had a kind word) was second to none. I've heard people complaining and my answer to them is go to America or any other country who does not have an NHS and see how much this would cost you.
The personnel at the hospital were uniformly excellent. Making contact with a 'real person' by telephone however was very difficult
Reduce time spent in queues
