As always received first class care by all the staff at Stamford pain clinic
I have had various scans and radiotherapy (23 fractions) at this hospital. I have been seen by the Urology, oncology and radiotherapy consultants and specialists. The staff in the urology department were kind and thoughtful (with the one exception of a rather fractious consultation with an urology consultant last year, partly due to my anxiety and worry). The staff in the radiotherapy department were all outstanding with no exceptions, and my treatment on the modern LINAC machines was accurately delivered and, so far, according to post treatment results, successful. My oncology consultant (Dr Sarah Treece) planned my pelvic radiotherapy and I suffered only minor (expected) side effects due to the accuracy of her plan and its delivery. I have reviewed Dr. Treece’s performance separately- sufficed to say that the review is top class.
I broke my shoulder December last year, from when I went into A&E I was very well treated by members of staff. They explained the procedure of what was going to happen. Even though I was in alot of pain, I was put at ease. I was in A&E for around 3 hrs before i was discharged, but all the time nurse's were coming upto me to see how I was. Waiting time was no issue, as this was a Saturday afternoon and could see how busy it was.
I went back last week to have a injection into my shoulder joint, 3 months on from breaking my arm. I was treated by Dr.Mohammed Sultan. He explained everything regarding the procedure, what to expect etc. Also the nurse's were great again.
Yes it was very painful at the time, but my arm is so much better now. The expertise from the professionals is amazing.
Peterborough is not my local hospital but exceeded all expectations for care, surgical procedures, welcoming and caring staff.
From the onset of my treatment I was treated with care consideration and always with a smile. In all the departments I attended the same care was given to me. I was given full information about my condition, all my questions were patiently answered and at no time did I feel rushed. I am very grateful to all who attended me and am in awe of what they do under such difficult conditions.
Outpatient appointment at 10 50am 18 January 2024, after 1/2 hour finding a parking spot, and waiting 1 hour to be seen, to finish an awful day having to wait a further 2 hours for my prescription. I appreciate the hospital was busy but surely this service was terrible.
Impressed with the welcome as I entered the hospital with a volunteer immediately making themselves known and directing me to the right location. As this was my first visit to the hospital that was a great help.
Availability of refreshments was good, as was the provision of bathrooms.
All staff encountered were pleasant and very helpful.
Although the car parks were busy it did not take long to find a space.
Very clean, receptionist very helpful and Diagnostic Imaging was easy to locate
Extremely professional & would not hesitate to recommend Mr Avotri & his team. Caring & explained exactly what would happen before the procedure.
Building not designed as a hospital. All buildings, car parks, buses etcetera all fed by one road and that controlled by traffic lights. A nightmare for parking, especially Blue Badge holders.
Very low staff morale in non specialised positions.
Internal layout of main building dreadful and not fit for purpose. E.G. Tiny waiting area general outpatients surgeries.
