I feel very lucky to have been treated at Parkside hospital and every part of my stay was excellent. The nurses, and in fact all staff who work there, were so friendly, considerate, helpful and professional. My room was lovely, bright and airy and the food was excellent. I could not recommend the hospital enough to anyone needing care.

The hospital staff are very nice, in control and approachable. Everyone takes pride in their work and you can see this from how clean the hospital is, the food is well prepared and the medical staff are all great communicators. I was very uncomfortable and in pain after my surgery. The medical staff throughout the day and night kept me feeling good. All very friendly.

All the way from the meet and greet - covid style - to the actual consultation was seamless and without fault. I was and indeed am always greeted with kindness and compassion which as a cancer patient is paramount. When I was an in patient everybody from the porter to the nurse were so kind and respectful and it is these little things that patients remember - thank you

All my interactions with Parkside have been very dealt with in a professional and courteous manner (Outpatient Appointment, Pre-Admission, Admission, Surgery, Physiotherapy, In-patient Nursing). The only element of my stay that was not made clear in advance was the discharge process, all I knew was that the room had to be free by 10am.
I now realise there is a discharge process that needs to be gone through and that the focus on 10am was misplaced (I had pre-ordered a taxi to collect me at 9:30 which had to wait for an hour until I was ready with my discharge medications).

The staff at Parkside Hospital were amazing. I spent 2 nights on the HDU where I was checked every hour, throughout the day and night. The nursing staff were caring, gentle and kind.
Once I moved onto the main ward where I stayed for another 4 days, the teams were again kind and supportive but they were also jolly and cheerful, kept me informed about what was happening and what they expected from me in order for me to be discharged.
The cleaning team were lovely and the catering staff cheerful and friendly, the food was good and plentiful with lots of cups of tea available.
Obviously, given the 24/7 nature of a hospital there were shift changes and therefore staff changes but the handover was always good, one member of the current team passing your details to the new member of staff in front of you, introducing you to the new shift.
Hospitals are not places that anyone really wants to stay in but if you have to stay in one, Parkside was excellent.

The staff at Parkside are extremely friendly and kind, they’ve made me feel as though I am in safe hands with their attentive, caring approaches!
