Out patient appointments take an average of 20 minutes to answer and can give wrong information making it a waste of time. Reception staff at the hospital are totally under staffed. Two people (sometimes only one) expected to check people in, make appointments when patients have seen consultants, answer phones, deal with queries from nurses and consultants. This causes long queues and waits at the desk. Waiting area is crowded, especially with some types of clinics where babies and young children are mixing with elderly patients. Toilets were filthy Ive seen better at shopping centres! Private GP services also mean mixing potentially infectious patients with those waiting to have surgery. This hospital has grown too quickly with no thought of patient demographics or staffing support. Id avoid at all costs when there are other good hospitals in the area where the same consultants can be seen without these annoying problems. Stars given above do not reflect this review as not appropriate but could not post without.
