I have been at several private hospitals and this is not up to the level of other private hospitals I have attended. The reception staff are unfriendly and unwelcoming - this has been the case on two occasions I have had to use this hospital. The nursing staff in the day care unit where I had to have a minor op were also not helpful. The doctors I have seen there are of course absolutley brilliant - just I shame I wasn't able to seen them at another hospital - in future I will make sure I can as most of the doctors work at several private hospitals. Unfortunately Parkside does not compare favourably with the New Victoria or BMI Coombe Wing or St Anthony's.

I have had different treatments at Parkside Hospital on various occasions over the past eleven years. I have always been very happy with the level of care I have received there. I believe the hospital is consistent in delivering a very high standard of care. It is very clean and well maintained, the reception areas are very comfortable and the appointments run pretty much on time.I have found all of the staff including reception staff, nursing staff and the consultants to be both extremely professional and very friendly. I think we are very lucky to have such a good private hospital so close by. I am always seen by excellent doctors and nurses who are unfailingly professional and kind. Nothing ever seems to be too much trouble and everyone liaises with each other so everyone knows what the other person is doing.

My 2 year old son was seen by a paediatric orthopaedic specialist. The hospital was easy to find and the on site parking a delight. Upon arrival at the lovely modern out patient facility I was greeted warmly and was asked to patiently wait to be seen. The children's waiting area is clean and uncluttered and coffee was great. Having seen the specialist, I was then shown and escorted by a friendly nurse to the X-ray department who apologised for the ongoing building works, but was however seen to promptly by the radiologists. All in all I have nothing but praise for this delightful local private healthcare facility.

I received AMAZING care from the staff at Parkside. The nurses are the best in the business as is the rest of the staff. The food is also delicious. This hospital would get a 5 star rating from me however BEWARE there is no air con in many of the patient rooms. Do not go there for elective surgery when it is hot - the heat in the patient rooms is unbearable and there are not even enough fans to go around. The conditions were almost inhumane given the heat. Also, the plumbing is not good so if you take a shower do not endeavor to do this without assistance, the water coming out of the taps is either scalding or freezing. So, good staff, good food, but physical conditions were borderline disgusting in my opinion.

I visited the hospital for a consultation about cataract in both eyes. I then had two operations as a day patient, each of which was followed by a post-op check-up. I was treated superbly at the hospital throughout. Everyone was very helpful and considerate and I could not have wished for anything more.

My experience is as an out-patient, a day patient and as an in-patient with overnight stay. This hospital is modern, clean and efficient. As with other private hospitals, one's experience is rather dependent on the consultant responsible for one's care. Some consultants are better at providing information on one's care and treatment and at involving the patient in decisions than others. On occasion it can feel that given a high volume of patients the hospital somewhat lacks the personal touch and it isn't as good at post operative care as it might be - but this applies to other similar hospitals too.
