The care I received from the hospital was great which is why I've given stars in the appropriate areas but the admin has been horrendous I am afraid to say. I was told in the week prior to my operation that my boyfriend could come in the private room with me following recovery. On the day I was told he wasn't allowed in due to Covid-19 which not the kind of information you need on the day of the operation. Covid-19 has been going on for months so I do not see how a few days can change anything. Also I was charged £90 for a Covid-19 test by the LTC (something patients have to do prior to an operation) and was later told after being charged that I could get one free from the One Hospital. I was then told by the One Hospital it may be late to have either test in before my operation and my only option was to go to a local one which thankfully I had a housemate on hand to take me. This resulted in a few hours off work unnecessarily. When I was in recovery, I was also misgendered by one of the nurses. I also keep receiving phone calls from One Hospital about my payment for the operation. I have taken out a payment plan with Deko via the LTC so any payment problems I would advise taking up with LTC as I am tired with this game. I've had a serious operation I do not need this. The staff themselves beside the one who misgendered me were lovely and the results of the operation have been amazing so a big thank you to Mr Inglefield. However in regards to admin, there needs to be a serious internal check at how things are handled and Covid-19 can not be used as an excuse given the amount of time this has been going on for. Very unsatisfactory for private health care which has cost me over £4000
