All staff..reception, nurses, physios, X-ray have that friendly, personal approach that reduces anxiety and contributes greatly to the great care at Oaklands. Thank you
My over-riding memories of Oaklands hospital are the filthy, bloodstained floor of my recovery room, and the night nurse who, when I came round from the anasthetic about 2am and asked for a cup of tea as I was absolutely gagging, said "it's 2-o'clock in the morning - I've got my rounds to do" and promptly disappeared. Fortunately, the day nurse was much more considerate , but I would still avoid Oaklands like the plague.
This is a lovely hospital filled with caring staff who treat the patients really well. They show empathy towards the patients.
My experience in this hospital was really good. Having pleasant staff around when you are in pain makes the experience easier.
Excellent post operative care
A good experience overall with pleasant staff on hand at all times.
A good experience overall!
Evert person i met at the Oaklands were very pleasant and helpful.
An Efficient, clean and tidy hospital with superb staff.
Appointment administration was terrible on two occasions they had no record of my appointment. Had to have to pre op. assessments because they didn't realise I was over 60. Post op care was abysmal they didn't have any of the items required by the surgeon including the medication and a cryo cuff. No post op appointment made so I made my own follow up at the Spire hospital.
The Oaklands is a beautiful hospital. It is clean and peaceful. My consultant Dr Polson was amazing. The reception staff on the day of my appointment were upbeat and friendly. My only gripe was when I first went to make an appointment. The receptionist was aloof, unhelpful and was quick to usher me to one side in favour of another. I'm not quite sure why......her customer care skills need homing I feel.
