It was all grt class
How excellent the nursing staff were
Everyone from the surgical team, nursing staff and to general staff were concerned to make me comfortable and do as much as possible to make my stay in the ward as positive as could be expected for my recovery.
- I felt the care and consideration shown by the nursing staff was exemplary. They were very kind.
- The food was ok - good choice - a little school dinner like.
- Porters were excellent & friendly.
- Cleaness varied between v. good and v. poor & need better supervision
The care was professional throughout my stay, and I was pleased with the care I received.
All the staff were friendly and helpful. Even with frequent shift changes the staff were aware of my individual needs.
The food was good and portion sizes appropriate.
All staff where extremely helpful with out exception. Always explained what they where doing and why.
This was my first time in the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.
I was admitted for my procedure via Ward A. The Nursing staff were very good and gave me and my husband information regarding my stay in hospital although only one night. This ward was spotless.
My care after the procedure was on Ward D. The nursing staff were fantastic nothing too much trouble and very professional, patient and compassionate
In particular Staff Nurse Jackie Elliott for kindness and personal attention, nothing too much trouble.
The care from all personnel was excellent, I was particularly impressed by the cleanliness of my room (Room 12) My only criticism was the food, having stayed in JR a few weeks previously I compared the catering to this hospital. The choice was poor (I am vegetarian) but I did not want to ask for items which were not on the actual menu. I did not realise that fruit juice was available (but had to be asked for) as it was automatically given at each meal at JR) The quality of the food was also poor, especially the vegetables which were processed and not fresh, and were then very overcooked. The salmon fishcakes were very dry and badly needed a sauce to accompany them.
