The whole process from notifying my GP 10 days ago to being triaged via an 'AI' App in a matter of days to a second stage review with ('Sundar'), lead me to an appointment at the Nuffield Orthopaedic a day later on 22/5/20. I was seen by one of Professor Prices' doctors, Alexander Sheardean who apart from being professional was very personable affording time and attention with a clear course of action. The result is I will be undergoing an MRI scan tomorrow 23/5/20, which was a complete but welcome surprise and from there a pinpointed diagnosis will arise. All supporting staff including radiologists were positive and cheerful, so all in all a very good experience.

All staff work as a team and are professional but friendly and inclusive.Organisation is exceptional and despite huge workload is very efficient. Departments involved were Pre assessment clinic, day assessment unit, theatre, recovery, bone infection unit ,out patients and X-ray. Patients are kept fully informed at all stages and are given time for questions. Special thanks to Mr Kendrick and his team, medical micro biology, and Mr Asanka Wijendra in out patients.

I had a total hip replacement on 27th September which went extremely well. Was signed off to return home after two days. After just over 2 weeks my doctor signed me off for driving. Now after 4 weeks have dumped the crutches and walking with a single trekking pole. Have not taken any pain killers since leaving hospital. Only discomfort is slight groin pain after a days activities. I'm extremely grateful to the surgeon, doctors, nurses, physiotherapist and OT for looking after me. I cannot make any suggestions for improvement as service I received has been exceptional.

Was in the hospital for a tumour removal, and received excellent care. The staff, from Consultants to Porters, were all friendly and caring and really couldn’t seem to do enough for me as a patient. The wards, and the rest of the building, was clean and bright and very pleasant to be in. The food was good and plentiful. The only things that were a problem were a late entry onto the ward (I thought at one point that I had been forgotten down in the entrance hall), losing one of my medical bands because it was too loose (the theatre nurse had to dash up to the ward to find it before I could go into the theatre) and the several goes that it took to put a cannula into my arm. I ended up with very colourful bruises. Apart from this I had excellent care and my stay was almost enjoyable.

I went to see the rheumatology team there and it was a huge disappointment to me. I did not even get a physical examination, was rushed through it all, did not get a chance to talk through my symptoms, was asked if I wanted bariatric surgery this was my first appointment with them, and no test results or scans had been done to see if they were any other issue apart from my weight. I was given blood tests and told I had to wait for ultrasounds to be done on my hands, wrists, knees and ankles, looking online looks to be another 6 week wait. I had to wait 16 weeks for this appointment. I left feeling very low, upset, and still in huge pain :(.

Very very good both Sebastian and the hospital. Sebastian is very down to earth with good confidence in his work, at the end of the consultation when he asked if I had any questions there was nothing really to ask as everything was covered. The operation went exceedingly well, Sebastian managed to complete the procedure with limited cutting of muscles. I was walking the next day (evening operation) and could go up and down stairs carefully the next day. His hospital after care was again excellent I can't really thank Sebastian and his team enough as the pain was excruciating before the operation. In fact words can't really describe my gratitude to him. Additionally, the operation and recovery was complicated by a previous spinal injury, but Sebastian was more than confident and was prepared to complete it. Well done Chris

Excellent care at the Nuffield orthopaedic hospital, all appointments in the lead up to the operation were good but there was a long wait for more routine procedures e.g. Steroid injections. The medical care during my stay in hospital was excellent , the only area that needs improving is the meals which were not appetising, and were very ' old fashioned' as a nutrionist I have a very healthy diet with lots of fresh fruit and veg and this was lacking.

A very nice friendly Hospital, all the staff are lovely, nothing is to much trouble. The only problem i find here is the parking a certain times is horrendous. You need to have someone to park the car while you go for your appointment. This is my only criticism.

I was Initially thrilled that my child had been referred here from a Local hospital (NHS) and although the referral time was quite quick - Paed O/P has some really talented consultants who obviously knew their stuff - and we felt looked after -really. The hospital was always clean and tidy. The car Park is an absolute nightmare - I mean it's REALLY bad -no spaces for patients mostly staff and when you walk out the hospital you get stalked back to the car by a trail of people mouthing silently (are you leaving?) -awful. One MAJOR MAJOR, issue is it doesn't matter how good a consultant is or how much they know their stuff - if your admin team are diabolical - I mean to the point where you drive a 5 hour round trip and they forget to tell you they cancelled your appointment or even better when they send your medical letters to a random address of a GP nowhere near where you live and talk about patient Confidentiality! and calling and getting told "don't you watch the News - don't you know how bad the NHS is?" my answer to this lady is I do now! With the greatest of respect the doctors are amazing but i just don't trust the hospital anymore and have asked to be referred to a different hospital. Oh before I forget the Ladies in the shop/cafe were always lovely!
