I was a little bit apprehensive at the start due to the COVID 19 problem. The hospital ( Nuffield ) was extremely good and and was more than capable of keeping the Outpatients safe. I was more than happy to enter into this part of the hospital. On the day of the cataract surgery I was in the "clean " part of the hospital ready to go. The staff had every thing sorted with keeping COVID 19 out of the hospital. The surgery was not at all pain full and the staff were excellent. Unfortunately due to COVID 19 , I can only say that things where not "normal " and could well change. As it stands, I can say that my experience of the system was one of being safe and the staff being great.

I have had TKR and cataract surgery at the Nuffield. On both occasions I was very impressed with the facilities, the environment, and , in particular, the staff, a very friendly, helpful, and professional group of people. I can recommend the Nuffield to anyone considering treatment.

About eight or nine years ago I had a hip replacement at the Nuffield Tees & found the experience pleasant which was all down to the excellent Doctors & Nurses who are so caring & that is why I have chosen the Nuffield Tees for my Cataract removal.

The patient care was good but the domestic managers need to communicate with nursing staff. The nurse who admitted me was put in a difficult position when the room I should have been in was being deep cleaned and the nurse did not know. The only room available for me was at the very end of the ward which meant a long walk to the theatre. As I have had major spinal surgery walking is difficult so I was not impressed. I also feel that more comfortable wheel chairs could be provided.

I attended the Tees Hospital for cataract surgery, and was seen promptly and professionally, with just the right level of friendliness and a more relaxed atmosphere than can be the case in hospitals. Throughout my outpatient visits and subsequent surgery, I cannot fault the treatment I received.

I attended the Nuffield Hospital as a day patient and I was completely satisfied with my treatment and care.

The staff were excellent and went out of their way to make sure I could have my surgery on the day scheduled despite the wrong lens being delivered. I just wonder whether a system should be in place to check the lenses are correct as they are delivered to the hospital rather than on the day of the operation. Obviously, on the day of the operation is a bit late to rectify any errors.
