All the staff and facilities were great. Communication was lacking at times, e.g. no confirmation emails for appointments and I didn't always get a letter so had no written confirmation of day and time.

Although my whole experience throughout my care at the Nuffield Hospital Leeds was great my review concerns mainly the physiotherapy team specifically Dave Bown. Dave is an assistant physio and also a personal trainer and I was introduced to him following my initial physiotherapy sessions after a hip replacement at the Nuffield. When I first started working with Dave I was starting from a pretty low level after fracturing my hip & having a failed internal hip fixation and finally a total hip replacement. Dave has been so instrumental in my rehab/recovery having previously being a former runner and pretty active I was keen to get as much mobility back as soon as possible after about 10 months of inactivity. I found Dave to be so knowledgeable which helped me to regain my confidence and this along with his encouragement has helped so much. I am now 3 months post op and I am already able to do more than I thought would be possible I don't doubt for a second that my progress has been helped hugely by the guidance of Dave. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend physiotherapy at The Nuffield Leeds.

I attended my appointment at this hospital for an MRI and CT scan I was really nervous my anxiety and stress was really bad as I am afraid of the MRI scanner I told the nurses about my fears they were absolutely brilliant they let me take my time kept reassuring me talking to me all the time till I finally relaxed so I could have my scan I really can't thank them enough they were superb so friendly, kind , considerate. From the receptionist to the nurses it made a very traumatic experience very pleasant I would greatly recommend this hospital the care was second to none the hospital itself was lovely it just felt like walking into a hotel and not the usual clinical look, I was one very happy patient when I left

From attending my initial consultation, through surgery and finally having my stitches removed, I found this hospital to be first class. Telephone conversations were also very professional and when I rang the hospital I was answered immediately and my query solved.

I initially went to see Dan Garbutt after referral through my private medical insurance, due to persistent hip pain and for a few months Dan worked very hard on improving my mobility. Unfortunately, the pain persisted and Dan advised me to contact Mr Jon Conroy for further guidance, where I was advised that I needed to have surgery on both hips. Each operation went very smoothly and Dan helped me through the early stages of my rehabilitation. Dan was very knowledgeable about my rehabilitation requirements and from having my first hip replacement surgery in December 2020 and second hip surgery in March this year, my recovery has been much faster than expected. I was having weekly physical training sessions with Dave Bown only seven weeks after my second op and in such a relatively short period of time started to feel more mobile and much stronger. I had 9 weeks with Dave and really enjoyed the sessions. Dave made the sessions interesting and worthwhile, and I felt I was getting real benefit from the exercises and achieving more challenging activities each week. I feel I am now getting back to normal following the surgery and a big part of that has been the help given during my rehabilitation by both Dan and Dave and I cannot thank them enough for their efforts. They’re both great personalities and I’ll actually quite miss the weekly sessions I had with them.

My physio consultant Emily Jackson provided great care for my painful knee. All appointments with her were very professional and she gave me excellent advice about exercises that I needed. I felt well cared for all the time and it's not just a job for her, she really cares about you and wants you to get better. 100% recommend her and this hospital.
