The chesterman wing was amazing,the excellent staff,the dignity shown even in the out pations section was very proffesional.GREATCARE--GREAT PLACE

Nurses could have been quieter on late night station on first night admittance. Group gossip most of the night was disturbing and all personal matters. Otherwise the whole of the staff in Chesterman was brilliant, especially C 4. And outpatients.

Brierly 7- staff absolutely atrocious. Do not update families, argue constatnly with each other and patients, patronised my Mum and never got to the root of her illness, made my family cry because they wouldn't listen to our detailed knowledge of our family member and our notifications when symptoms got worse. Family member got worse in hospital and caught several infections. Ward had to be locked down due to bug, isolated patients. Cleaning staff following this told us it was standard and a very unclean ward generally. Toilets were disgusting for visitors and patients. Constantly sat around nurses station and having loud personal conversations that again isolate patients and families- very little conversation with patients and incredibly patronising to patients with confusion/dementia. Items of clothing, teeth, personal posessions constantly missing. Many different faces, only one or two were welcome to us.

The nothern general hospital has excellent care, the nurses and everybody involved are friendly and supportive towards patients and the family.This hospital is remarkably clean with good food and comfy beds.

This area is well staffed so therefore there is ample staff to take care of the patients. Well stocked, staffed so they were not stressed.

cardiology firth 7 and firth2 where i had blood clot removed both fantastic staff and clean wards... BUT brierly wards respirity so bad staff dont give a dam quite a few lie night staff tried to give me wrong medication as they had someone elses drug card the side room i was in wast cleaned once in the 5 days i was in there and they wouldnt change the sheets evan though they were soiled and often got missed at meal times as room was down a side corridoor

I spent the day in Theatre Admissions Unit recently being treated by Mr Gibson. Prior to this I was seen in Theatre Admissions who were excellent in their pre operative assessment. The new unit is quick and efficient with little time to wait in the excellent waiting room which is comfortable and well equipped. Someone had even had even thought to put subtitling on for deaf people. The TAU where I spent the day was also well equipped and the staff were excellent and very caring from being greeted by the receptionist through nursing and Drs. I can honestly say that the Drs in surgery were some of the best I have encountered and took great care to ensure that I was well cared for. If every department is as good as this one then the hospital has improved exponentially over the years. Thank you to all the staff on this visit.

From arrival to leaving I was pleased with the care from all members of staff at the NGH, always caring, always pleasant and happy to care for ones needs.
