Top heavy with management. To many levels of management/supervisors. Not enough doctors on duty or persons of that level. Keeps building length wise instead of upwards. Toilets in public areas smelly and often lack maintenance Why does it need maintenance staff when all maintenance undertaken by subcontract companies. Ambulances stacked up outside because paramedics tied up inside the hospital.

the sessions I had were done remotely via zoom which helped as I was able to manage my condition at home, if I was uncomfortable sitting too long Dr Sunil understood and would be patient with me, therefore, zoom proved helpful for both patient and Doctor.

I have been treated this evening in the Emergency Injuries Department and was impressed by how efficient the service was. From assessment to X Ray to advice after my X Ray the service was seamless but also staff - Paula in the injuries unit were skilled and knowledgeable. What an effective service!

Stop dropping patients off at A&E then abandoning them with no explanation as to how long they may habe to wait and lying to them about who will be taking charge of their problem. The nurses were just going through with routine tests and had no real answers or input. Distinctly got the impression rhey have been told to not treat you if they can get away with it, I was given bare minimum of pain relief and that was after sitting waiting for 8hours. I was shown the door after not being referred to my consultant as I had asked, then had tp make my way home in my slippers (30 miles). So thanks NGH for your help! I wouldn't let someone take their dog to this place, it is obviously a place where the state of victimhood is worn like a badge of honour, the NHS needs to haemorrhage these types from its service if it wants to survive. I lost count of how many overweight bone idle workers were lounging around. The worst part of all was witnessing an elderly man in distress requesting to be taken to the toilet to relieve himself and the amount of staff who walked past totally ignoring him. Although in intense neuro pain from my spine I got him a wheelchair and sat him in it. At that point a staff member was suitably embarrassed and reluctantly took him to the toilet. How embarrassing for the NHS.

My mother was taken by ambulance on the 04/01/2022, the ambulance staff were lovely, my mum was very scared and they made her feel relaxed, she was in a lot of pain and bleeding, I could not go because of the Covid, but they assured her that I would be kept informed, and I was, the staff that I spoke to on A & E were really good and the doctor rang me when there was an update. She was finally put onto Manfield Day Surgery ward as she had an operation and the staff were lovely and I would like to say a special thank you to Margaret who is the receptionist there she went above and beyond to help me with my mum, she helped me be able to speak to her and sort any problems out that I had and kept her calm, So thank you Margaret.xx My mum is on willow ward now and continuing in getting great help and care. xxx Thank You NHS

I recently had to be admitted to the Mansfield day surgery unit for surgery to remove my missed miscarriage, as had sadly lost my 10 week gestation baby (my 4th loss). I was treated so kindly by the nurses in the day surgery unit, plus when taken to theatre (in main theatres) I had a lady who I remember was called “trish” and I just wanted to pass my thanks on to her as she really put me at ease when I began to get quite emotional just before I was put under and am so grateful to have had such a kind person be there at a time that was very difficult for me. I have found a lot of people do not really know what to say to people going through miscarriage but she just gave the comfort I needed and for that I am so grateful.
