I can’t fault the care I’ve received from all the staff I’ve had contact with at the Three Shires hospital. All the admin staff, nurses and doctors have been professional, efficient and caring. I felt very well looked after and safe during my care. Facilities are always very clean and well run. They made a stressful time a lot easier to deal with. I would highly recommend this hospital for anyone in the area.

The best quality about Mr Tejas Yarashi he gives you all the information in clear concise way. But I think the most important aspect of the whole meeting with Mr Tejas Yarash and having the operation is he cares and is very proud of his work and this instils confidence in you as patient to have a medical presider. The hole department should be very proud of the work they do. On a lighter note the car park needs work................

This review is for HOLCOT WARD only. Unfortunately my family member was admitted to this ward for a sustained period of time. This ward is incredibly unsafe, they are not transparent about the mistakes and errors that are made. They attempt to cover it up by not completing datix’s. There is not enough done to prevent pressure sores on this ward. This is a medical ward with a high proportion of vulnerable and elderly patients and they are not given the adequate attention that would meet their needs. Communication is very poor. I could go on… This is not about any individuals as there are fantastic staff on this ward, it is embedded in the processes and leadership of the ward.

I was recently a patient in Mansfield Day Surgery Ward for 2 weeks. I was taken in by an ambulance . I was admitted due to breaking my tibia and fibula bones in my leg. My leg was still swollen which is why my stay was longer as they couldn’t operate straight away. All the staff (day and night) from the hostesses, paramedics, nurses, sisters, doctors, surgeons, cleaners, physiotherapists and chefs etc were just amazing. The nurses/sisters were just so lovely patient and always made me feel better. They helped me wash, use the commode, changed my bedding daily and made sure I had my medication when I should and had regular blood pressure etc checks. They also made sure lunch/dinner menus were filled in. The ward was clean and nothing was too much trouble for them if I needed anything. After my operation, the night nurses really took care of me as I was very poorly. The nurses made sure I had all my medication packed for discharge and physiotherapists made sure I would be safe at getting home so they arranged for an ambulance to take me home. This was a terrible accident that has changed my life completely. I was so scared about going into hospital and staying in for so long but because of the way I was looked after, I will always be forever grateful. Thank you NHS Selena Gregoriou

On two wards i was treated properly . Now on willow ward always last to get a wash staff of a night dont ask if alright and change your pads leave you feeling bad about yourself. Staff rather lazy and uncaring.

The staff at NGH looked after me so well. I got to know so many of them and, indeed, still stay in contact with some of them.

Trying to communicate with departmants needs to be improved. ?You can wait on the phone for 60 minutes and still not be answered. This clearly needs to improve.
