On Saturday 5th June and Sunday 6th June I had to visit Loddon Ward as reffered by my GP I would like to say how amazing all the staff were on both days nothing was to much trouble for them I was treated with respect and kindness all the time I was there everything was explaned to me and have nothing but praise for all the staff thank you so much

Our child had an appointment with Dietician Ms Sara Pulling.Have to say that the whole appointment was taken up with irrelevant questions as to whether we as parents are making " new friends in our new area".Ms Pulling did not asses our child's dietary needs at all, and asked us as to whether we had pictures of our children on a " fridge door".Really weird and irrational stuff for a dietitary appointment for your child. Never asked our child's dietary intake, types of food eaten nothing.Maybe she was working of some fictional template which didnot resonate with reality. Would only recommend Ms Pullan if your prepared to neglect your own child's needs and talk about anything other than your own child's dietary needs.

Had telephone consultation with a Dr Dhatta who is an endocrinologist consultant (due to covid-19) Consultation regarding our child went well up to the point where Dr Dhatta made a point of saying that special feeding measures which he accepted needed to be put in place at our child's then school he was attending may be an inconvience to other pupils. I think it is clear that the then other pupils are not his patients and should figure in his treatment plan for our child. The then school can either cope with the extra identified needs and consider it an inconvenience to themselves and or other pupils.Our child has a definitive genetic diagnosis which was not done by a provincial hospital such as the Norfolk and Norwich. Then had a phone call from a nurse who wanted to advocate doing another genetic test even though he has already got this done. Essentially putting resources to a test for the same thing which is not going to be ofany real clinical benefit to our child Saw a school nurse in February 6 weeks before the lockdown who was questioning the need for his built up shoe and never supplied us with a copy of a necessary care plan while our child is on school premises. This nurse works in association with Riverside/James Paget. Told consultant this and everybody including Norfolk and Norwich don't believe a definitive genetic diagnosis., and want to project this on to the parents. The questioning us as parents about the built up shoe and leg length discrepancy begs and implies that does she think that a Consultant Orthopedic surgeon is just doing unnecessary legs operations and x ray monitoring on our child?. I think the school nurse on this is going outside her qualified remit and projecting this to us as parents, and probably to other health professionals and meddling and for some weird reason meeting with our child and been presented with clinical facts and just not sending out copies of care plans to patients of the Norfolk and Norwich.

Recently had a phone call from a nurse following a telephone consultant appointment ( phone consultation is done presently due to Covid 19 instead of patients attending hospital). The nurse wanted us to agree for our child to have unnecessary tests done, this being a genetic test which has already being done and the result is definitive. She was not able to credibly justify with medical criteria the benefit that this test would have to our child's management and already definitive diagnosis. Also wanting our child to be out through another test as well which is in no way can be considered to be conclusive. Our child is under also another health professional who acts in this way, and wanted our child to be seen by an endocrinologist, in another health authority even though she knew from us that he was already under an endocrinologist at the Norfolk and Norwich.She went and made an appointment for him at the James Paget without telling us.We told our GP and he agreed that it was not appropriate for our child to be seen by two different endocrinologists at two different trust area hospitals, this is also for ethical reasons as well, and the fact the community Paediatrician that made the referral should have told us and that is the way this works.

CARDIC CATHETERISATION AND CORONARY ANGIOGRAPHY SECTION. Brilliant hospital in my limited experience to date, having only at present being an outpatient. However, earlier today I went through a telephone based "Reassessment Appointment" (due to this awful virus) with a nurse named Joanne. During this assessment she was nothing less than magnificent in not only during the manner in which it was cried out, but more reassuringly to me personally, for listening to my real concerns about my situation. Please kindly convey to her my deep appreciation for both her understanding and obvious knowledge of my present condition. Well pleased.

Completely ignorant. Didn’t give any answers. Sent home and asked to wait for a call which never happened until we started calling them ourselves and even then we were being redirected from person to person. I was diagnosed with potential cancerous tumour, it’s been over 6 weeks and we still have no idea what is going on.
