The attention and care provided by the CCU team - in particular Smithy and Ray (CCU nurses) was impeccable and a credit to the unit and should be the standard attained by all. The state of the human only side of the ward needs significant improvement, the lack of sunlight and no real daylight in an extremely poor standard and makes the feeling of the ward dark and oppressive in what is already an acute situation for a patient.
