My husband had an emergency appointment to treat a hand injury. The parking facilities although large is very confusing and very badly signed. His appointment was at 10o'clock we arrived a half hour early but could not park. My husband went in alone and I spent a further hour trying to park. By this time I was in complete panic but thankfully the security men helped me, be it not an officiall parking bay. When I did find my husband still not seen. 3.5hrs later sent home to return next day. Staff are lovely even those pure souls who had to direct me around the rabbit warren.AFter a 2hr drive to get there it was not the best experience.

Stayed on ward T after an double jaw surgery op so quite a major procedure which requires care for recovery. Some of the nurses were great on this ward but felt like i should of recieved more care. Couldnt find my buzzer, my suction tube was turned off, elderly patients waking in night left to wander around room, lack of english from one particular nurse, rushed out of there for bed space, nurse threw out a mask i needed to take home with me for recovery which cost us £48 to get a new one. I understand they are busy but one nurse in particular shouldnt be doing that job at all. Not the best care

Firstly parking is appalling, cars parked on curbs, pieces of green anywhere they can fit a car. Upon arrival help desk.... next joke there was no help not a single member of staff near the desk. So taking to the corridor assuming a hospital would have good use of signs we searched for the department we needed. Followed an arrow that took us everywhere but where we needed to be! Asked a member of staff he had no idea advised us to go downstairs, whilst downstairs asked a female member of staff who stated it was you guessed it upstairs! Getting infuriated at the fact not even the staff know where to go didn't make me feel safe at all. I feel sorry for any patients who get lost whilst admitted best start carrying a flare! In the end we went to get a coffee the only thing decent this hospital had to offer. Didn't get to appointment rung the department they said they couldn't direct me from where I was... well if you can't direct me from the main entrance what chance have I got in letting you treat me not that I'd want you too now. All the staff look miserable and are blunt as if they're forced to work. If you don't want the job go elsewhere!

Shameful place. Father transferred here from Withybush where nfr not respected. Icu he because inconvenience to consultants who implied I was responsible for taking him off life support. Religious demographics not respected and he was kept in morgue for 2 weeks before burial. Awful place

Accident and emergency department requires improvement. After a recent visit, it took 8 hours (following X ray) to get treatment. I understand that it was a busy night with ambulance arrivals at fairly regular intervals BUT, there were no more than 6 patients in the general waiting area alongside me upon arrival and this timescale I find hard to comprehend.

On 16th February 2014 I had a heart attack in my family home in Bridgend. Previously a very fit and active 58 year old woman, this came as a complete surprise.Within minutes of my son dialling 999 I was being attended to be a wonderful and reassuring paramedic who directed the attending ambulance man and woman to take me to Morriston Hospital .On the way there I had a cardiac arrest and my life was saved in the ambulance by these incredible people. When I arrived at Morriston hospital, feeling terrified and worse for wear,I was wheeled into reception area and several people were formed into a welcoming circle and at the foot of my trolley a young, tall and dark haired doctor with a lovely accent said there were six doctors and five nurses( or five nurses and six doctors) and they were here to help me......I will never forget that young doctor or any of the staff that were there that night. I have never known such kindness, I was totally amazed at the expertise and professionalism given to me so freely when I needed it so much. I am a former nurse and was a student and theatre nurse in Cardiff and the Vale so can appreciate exactly how much I owe every member of staff that treated me that night. I have always loved the NHS and love it even more now. Thank you, thank you for saving my life, for giving me my life back.I only had ten minutes of warning pains before Emergency staff arrived at my home , I would have just died without you all. I am enjoying every moment of life but will never forget the fabulous , incredible, life giving , special, special staff who looked after me that night. Much appreciated and keep up the great work Kathryn Pearson

Parking a nightmare especially when you have walking difficulties. If you can manage the walk down the hill from the car park, then up the hill to main reception, then back down the hill to the department you require and up the hill again to return to your car you should be in the marines and not attending hospital. The reception staff were extremely unhelpful bordering on rudeness. In my opinion the reception staff are located in the wrong place - they should be placed in a more central location maybe in a portacabin at the bottom of the hill to assist patients and avoid unnecessary journeys up and down very steep hills. I am writing this from my bed now as I am unable to walk after such an appalling experience.

On arrival at the hospital car parking was a huge problem, hopefully this will improve when the renovations are complete. Not being familiar with the Hospital I headed for the Main Entrance Information Desk to be greeted by two smiling faces but please don't be deceived by this initial friendliness. On asking for directions I was told to walk up the corridor and then follow the long tunnel which would take me to the department I required. However, due to the vague instructions received I was unable to find the tunnel so returned to the desk to as how far along the corridor was the tunnel located. The reply was "How long is a piece of string". Surely anyone has the manner and intelligence to say about 20 yards, 30 yards, 50 yards etc. but "How long is a piece of string" - How rude. I telephoned the department to ask for directions and the lady on the telephone was very helpful asking me where I was at the moment and directing me while I was on the telephone. I would not have found this particular department without her help as it was located down the tunnel, then outside down the hill, up a narrow alley and behind two porta cabins. With regard to the RUDENESS of the staff on the information desk I can only assume that they are volunteers with nothing better to do and they certainly have no respect for the NHS in Wales or patient care.
