It was the worst experience ever! I got there at 2pm, waited till 2am and still was not seen by the doctor. I asked a nurse for help as I was struggling to breathe and had not ate all day due to tonsilitis and therefore was feeling faint when I had been waiting all day. She simply said to me a should wait again till 7am to be seen by a doctor. Long story short the nurses noticed that I was having a panic attack, I had sharp pains in the chest and I was basically screaming in pain. Two male nurses casually approached me saying "Are you going to talk to us or are you just going to keep screaming". They could clearly tell I was in agony. During the wait I collapsed and another nurse approached me mockingly saying "you need to stop laying on the floor in front of all these people just stand up"... to sum it all up, they did not care about my health neither did they care about my safety. I had to remove my needs myself and leave the hospital becuase they were not going to do anything and that's the scary part. Morriston hospital DO BETTER because this is atrocious

My father had the misfortune to be a patient on ward c having previously been on dan danino ward and cardiac short stay where the care was superb. He was discharged at 7pm in the evening having had a valve replaced the week before and having a subsequent heart attack with only a box of asprin by a cardiac specilaist nurse despite being on 30 plus tablets a day. We spent the whole weekend chasing around th hospital trying to arrange medication which included his anticioagiulants.Someone is going to die on ward c because of their total lack of care and responsability for their mistakes. Shocking attitude of the sister on ward c obviously rubs off on the staff who are indifferent.

Over the past few days our family have been riding a rollercoaster, we’re emotionally drained, physically drained, mentally drained. I can’t explain how much support we’ve had from the multi disciplinary team on ward G…….phenomenal. From the care giving, the support they’ve given to us as a family, the understanding, consideration, to the 3 am chats that allow us to escape reality for 10 minutes, the coffee that keeps us going, the constant check ins, the listening ear they are constantly providing, and the care that they give because they clearly want to not because they have to! I will be forever grateful to you angels on ward G.

Dirty public loos. My wife could not use them. Had to find a cleaner first. Refreshments only available during cafe Costa opening hours. We repeatedly had to literally sit in canvas awning wet and cold on a tarmac road at 3.00am.with no refreshments or heat on cold January nights/morning whilst visiting my dying mother. We were exhausted by the treatment they offered to visitors/carers. Hospital staff were reluctant to provide information re. patients condition and moaned when we telephoned to make an enquiry. The information when supplied was incorrect, basically not transparent. Covid gave some members of staff their opportunity to exercise all their “ jobsworth” credentials who were Inhuman and patronizing. Additionally they admitted my Covid free mother to a designated Covid ward without informing her or family. Obviously this treatment hastened her demise.

I was in Dan Danino ward after a heart procedure and the staff were wonderful and could not do enough for me, I was made to feel like they ALL cared about my health and how I was feeling. I have just got home today . I would also like to Thank the surgeon who saved my life after a heart attack several weeks ago and all the staff on the wards I was in then. I had to return yesterday for a follow up procedure. Everyone could not have done any more for me, Thank You

Absolute disgrace. I have skin cancer and they found something behind my eye when I went to A and E after blacking out. The consultant stated the junior doctor didn’t find anything however my opticians confirmed there was in fact a nevus behind the eye and it has grown so they bare face lied to me. They have disregarded my abnormal ct scans showing a liver lesion a lung 4mm node enlarged lymph nodes an ovarian cyst and bad blood work. I found out from my Gp that my blood work is anything but fine and they told me it was fine. They let me out of hospital with a d dimer four times what it should be with the no definitive proof of no clot as they didn’t scan everything and didn’t provide me with enough anticlot medication. They refused to look at my provisional skin cancer diagnosis and told me I was mentally ill despite my GP notes which I know they have access too confirming everything. The consultant called me a hypochondriac when hypochondriac do not tend to have the health issues I do. I was medically gaslit and now have to deal with the ombudsman. Their negligence and malpractice may cost me my life.

The staff were caring and respectful of my pronouns. Honestly the only suggestion I would have is more staff, sometimes the older ladies on my ward were waiting for a while for assistance going to the bathroom as there just was not anyone free to assist them. I saw Iona Collins for a Discectomy op and she was brilliant, informative, knowledgeable and was passionate about her job in a way that comes across when speaking with her and it filled me with great confidence in her,her staff and their abilities.

Brought a friend in who might have been spiked and badly injured her ankle and was swollen. Receptionist said it was a 10-12 hour wait and instnantly told us to go home without even suggesting to wait. we were then asked to leave the building as our friend was unable to stand and was freezing and shivering! you’d have better luck going to cardiff and getting seen by the time you’d get seen in morriston
